Gorgeous hotel! Super friendly staff and location was perfect! Daniel and the other young lady were sweet and accommodating to my needs! Balcony view was breathtaking!

- My wife and I had a 4-night stay at this Atwell Suites location. Overall, it was a smooth visit with no problems, and we would definitely stay again. Advantages were: - We chose the location for both much lower cost pricing than say Kimpton Epic or other options in the area. And Atwell includes breakfast in the club level lounge on the top floor. - 24 floors to this building and Atwell occupies the top floors and your room will have a balcony. Hotel Indigo shares the front desk and is on the lower levels without balconies. You can see the difference in the official hotel photo. No breakfast is included with the Indigo stays. Pricing seemed similar between the 2 hotel options so you should just choose the Atwell Suites for a bigger space if you want the hotel breakfast. Food quality was fine, nothing spectacular, with cereal, yogurt, oatmeal options as well as the cooked options, and latte machines. You can pay for drinks in the evening in this lounge which has outside balcony seating as well as inside. - The hotel is situated just down the street from the major Brickell Metrorail transit station and Underline park with bike trail. Lots of city bus routes and the free city trolleys stop here, and the orange and green lines of Metrorail stop here as well with the orange line having a direct route to MIA airport. And as a bonus, the free Metromover can get you to the Brightline station and Bayfront Park/Bayside market, and lots of other areas. Brickell City Center is also a short 10-minute walk, or you can use Metromover. Lots of pedestrians and cyclists (and chickens!) out and about. -There is a Publix full-service grocery store on the other side of Underline Park from the hotel. The suites feature a small fridge and a microwave and sink if you want to prep some of your own food. - No safety issues at all in the Brickell area or on transit. Armed staff is very visible in the transit stations. - We used the busses/trolleys/and Metromover to get everywhere including Perez Art Museum, Vizcaya House (trolleys), South Miami Beach (Metromover to Bayfront then the 100 bus), Little Havana, and to Loan Depot Park (208 bus plus a 10-minute walk). This allowed us to not have a rental car in Miami. Valet parking is available at the hotel, no self-parking. - There is a full-service restaurant with bar, but we did not dine in. - Staff was very pleasant and assisted with luggage storage after check-out. They did recognize my wife's IHG status and did give us an hour of late checkout on our request. Disadvantages: - If you are an "Instagram me at the beautiful rooftop pool" person, this is probably not your hotel. It has a modern concrete vibe with a small lobby. The pool is also small and on the 6th floor and gets mainly morning sun only. Getting a lounger on a busy day and then dragging it to the remaining sun might be an issue. The gym is just off the pool and is basic. We tried to swim one afternoon but we were in the shade, it was chilly for Miami, and the water was cold, so that lasted about 5 minutes. - Condo towers continue to pop up in Miami, and the fabulous design of the Mercedes-Benz tower is starting up right across the street. You will need a white noise option if you are sensitive to construction noise which starts at 6am-ish and which you can hear from the balcony or the pool. But for us, the construction became white noise in itself. And if you like to watch construction cranes and other equipment, this might be a bonus. --- So, if you are an independent traveler who is wanting to use public transit to move around instead of a rental car, and you would like an expansive space with breakfast included, you cannot beat this location. Recommended!

Great hotel centrally located with good public transport links, the view from floor 22 was amazing especially at night we found the beds comfortable we slept well it was very clean everywhere and we loved the waterfall shower which also provided shampoo / conditioner & shower gel. Great hotel centrally located with good public transport links, the view from floor 22 was amazing especially at night we found the beds comfortable we slept well it was very clean everywhere and we loved the waterfall shower which also provided shampoo / conditioner & shower gel. Dow side was the size of the breakfast room it wasn’t big enough so between 8-9am you will struggle for seats if your ok with heights sitting on balcony on the 24th floor has a stunning view of Miami, the food choices were good too. The restaurant for evening meals is on the ground floor the menu choice was good and the food tasted amazing I couldn’ eat it all not for the want of trying it was a good portion size. The staff are very helpful too and happy to help if they can. I would come back here again. Negative is you share the pool with the sister hotel which has the lower floors of the hotel and not the hotels fault but there was a group of about 10 African-Americans who were very loud, brash sat by the pool drinking all day lots of takeout rubbish left about and being openly racist to other nationalities with children and forcing them to leave the pool area, when them guests were not around it was pleasant place to be swimming with roof top views is amazing.

“Overpriced”

Clean, spacious, hotel. We stayed here with our 14yr old. She was excited to have her own room and 1/2 bath. I do wish the 2nd bath was a full bath. Also the 2nd bedroom did not have a tv. The balcony was nice but we didn't have a good view or balcony furniture. Our biggest complaint is that the ba… lisää

The balcony was nice but we didn't have a good view or balcony furniture. Our biggest complaint is that the bathroom doors and primary bedroom doors were sliding doors and didn't lock. Not good for privacy if you have kids or others staying with you. The complimentary breakfast wasn't anything special. We only ate it once and decided to go somewhere else on the other days. I do believe the cost was a little expensive for that amenities provided. $1200 for 3 nights. Oh and upon checkin they placed a $2200 hold on my credit card. That was extreme for a deposit and incidentals. Almost double the rental price. I probably wouldn't stay again.
