“Overall good room and clean resort, but many problems with hot water”

The front desk staff was warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and clean; however, several furnishings were noticeably worn, including multiple stains on the carpet and scuffed, scratched end tables and a coffee table. The front desk staff was warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and clean; however, several furnishings were noticeably worn, including multiple stains on the carpet and scuffed, scratched end tables and a coffee table. The grounds were well kept and clean. We had an issue starting on the third day of our vacation when we lost hot water in both showers and the bathroom and kitchen sinks. Maintenance was very helpfuyl and tried their best to fix the issue. We had maintenance out a total of 6 times, and the hot water kept going out. At one point even the cold water was off which baffled the maintenance crew. On our final night — after deciding to leave a day early due to the ongoing water issues — we again had no hot water. Maintenance was unable to fix the problem. The front desk agent kindly provided access to another room down the hall so we could shower the next morning before departing. It was really inconvenient having to leave our room in the early morning to go down the hall to another room to shower. I found the resort charge to be very high and the amenities that came with it were not worth the price. The issues we had with the water during our trip really put a damper on our trip and I would only consider staying here again if i was assured that we would have working hot and cold water the entire time.

“Large condo on golf course side of Sandestin”

We enjoyed staying in one of the most spacious one bedroom condos we have ever had. Large living/dining area with a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, with detergent in the closet. Large bedroom. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed staying in one of the most spacious one bedroom condos we have ever had. Large living/dining area with a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, with detergent in the closet. Large bedroom. Everything was very clean. There is some updating being done. They were working on our hallway while we were there. Our room had a balcony but didn’t face the bay but the whole Sandestin resort area is lush and the landscaping is well cared for. It is a timeshare resort so I imagine the bay view rooms would first go to the owners. We booked through Hilton. It even has a theater you can reserve. There are 2 pools at the complex and then there is a larger resort pool nearby. There is a shuttle to take you around the resort. The resort fee is $15pp/day. We used the included bikes and rode the 2 mile paved trail to the beach. The fee also includes kayaks, exercise room. Our one disappointment was a snafu with my husband’s golf at the Raven. We stood there at the desk while the reservation was made but when he got to the course, there was no record of his reservation. They even sent a shuttle from the course to pick him up. We will call the course next time and confirm the reservations. We walked to the nearby Baytown entertainment/dining complex for breakfast and dinner. We spent 3 nights here at the end of our annual off season visit to the Panhandle. We lucked out with great weather. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

“Beautiful but disappointing”

My husband and I stayed here for a week…the staff was amazing and worked with us to switch rooms. However…we had to pay a steep “activities fee”…there was no way to opt out of it…even though I had an injury I was recovering from and couldn’t do any of the activities! My husband and I stayed here for a week…the staff was amazing and worked with us to switch rooms. However…we had to pay a steep “activities fee”…there was no way to opt out of it…even though I had an injury I was recovering from and couldn’t do any of the activities! The most disappointing part was…every single piece of furniture was uncomfortable to sit on…the couch was hard and seat cushions sloped forward, all the chairs were uncomfortable…dining room, living room, and bedroom. The rocking chairs on the balcony were nice!!!
