Excellent quaint inn. Staff is great and daily housekeeping and very accomodating. Going back for our third visit this year.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. Small, quaint, welcoming and right across the street from the beach. The room was just wonderful. Very nice and loved how they decorated it. Our room had a balcony that faced the ocean. Amazing The staff was just wonderful. It began at check in when I asked about sharks teeth and they provided me with a "rake" not sure what it is called to sift the sand. That is how I found so many sharks teeth. There were many wandering the beach, but they had 1-2 teeth where with the sifter found quite a bit more. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I cannot recommend this place more and have it bookmarked and would be thrilled to stay again.

“Gem of a getaway”

What a gem of a place. Located literally across the street from Venice Beach. Upon check in Chris the night manager greeted me with a warm smile and my room key and informed me he had upgraded our room. What a gem of a place. Located literally across the street from Venice Beach. Upon check in Chris the night manager greeted me with a warm smile and my room key and informed me he had upgraded our room. What a wonderful surprise when we got in our room and had a king studio room. It was so pretty and so roomy and clean and so inviting. Im ready to go back!! The next morning we had a grab and go breakfast which includes goodies from the local bakery juice and coffee then walked across the street before we checked out to do a little shark tooth hunting...we found 4. We will definitely be back when we can spend more time there. Definitely a diamond of a place to stay!!

“Lacking customer service. And chairs.”

We had stayed here a year ago for 1 night. This year we stayed for 3 nights in Feb. After 2 nights we knew we'd need to change rooms. We had stayed here a year ago for 1 night. This year we stayed for 3 nights in Feb. After 2 nights we knew we'd need to change rooms. Upon check in we were told that we could use our room the day of the move as long as needed. We were heading out to an appointment in Sarasota at 10 am, popped into the office to let them know. They wanted us to move out then, but we would have been late for appt. The man at the front desk said they could get our things moved. We were mostly ready (suitcases packed but not zippered) and didn't want them handling our things. I mentioned that 4:00 would be the check in for the room we were vacating and we'd be back by 12:30 or 1. He was concescending and said, well, we have to have it ready by then so you need to be out. Very very unproffesional attitude and not appreciated. He said the man that checked us in shouldn't have told us what he did. We are very good guests and didn't appreciate the tone. The woman who'd been at the desk and heard the conversation then called my husband as we were driving and asked him if they could move our things. She knew what I told them, but was hoping to pressure my husband into a different response. Not acceptable. The rooms are nice and clean and proximity to beach is good. We did our homework and read that there were beach chairs available, with an apology. When I went to get 2 for us both days, we were told there were none available and none had "come back yet". We tried again later with no luck. There are a couple of benches on the beach luckily, but not the beach days we envisioned. We won't be back to this hotel unfortunately, they need to work on their customer service and buy more chairs.
