Not the greatest, but far better than many of the relatively recent reviews. Granted we were only here for one night, but the hotel (including the pool) was generally pretty clean. Not the greatest, but far better than many of the relatively recent reviews. Granted we were only here for one night, but the hotel (including the pool) was generally pretty clean. The lobby area was quite nice. Our room was clean; the only “issue” was there was only one regular coffee in the room….certainly not a major issue. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The breakfast was pretty good for this class hotel.

“Avoid Marriott properties if you want internet”

Nice property and very accommodating staff. We drove south overnight to get here to avoid the blizzard in Atlanta. We arrived at 5 am and they had a room they let us check into for that night so we got from 5 am until 10 am the next day for one night price. As is the norm at Marriott properties the… lisää

Nice property and very accommodating staff. We drove south overnight to get here to avoid the blizzard in Atlanta. We arrived at 5 am and they had a room they let us check into for that night so we got from 5 am until 10 am the next day for one night price. As is the norm at Marriott properties there is no internet. This is our fourth Marriott property on this trip all with no internet. They say it is because Marriott switched all their internet service to Bonvoy rather than individual hotels and it doesn’t work. As a Bonvoy member of over 20 years I usually have stayed at Marriott properties but I don’t want to have to go to McDonald’s to get internet.

“We are Fairfield fans, but....”

The usual Fairfield experience, which is a great experience but this one is a little tired. Our room smelled of cat pee. Valdosta is a tough hotel town. Many brands seem tired here. We would stay here again but not on the first floor. The amenities for the price is very good.

I recently stayed at the Fairfield in Valdosta and had mixed experiences during my visit. Check-in took quite a while; although the lady at the front desk was friendly, she seemed a bit inattentive. Unfortunately, my room was located right next to the elevator, which made for a noisy experience as I could hear it operating every minute. I attempted to reach the front desk by calling 5-6 times, but no one answered. When I finally went downstairs, I was informed that their phone system was malfunctioning, and it seemed like they accepted this as normal. The staff member did offer to move me to another room, but then realized they had run out of keys. Took a while! They searched for keys on other floors etc. Eventually, I was upgraded to a nicer suite, which was a relief. However, I can't help but wonder why a person with Titaniun status was initially placed in such an undesirable room to begin with, only to receive an upgrade once the concerns were raised.
