“#1701 - Best Condo on the Hawaiian Islands!”

This was the most well-stocked condo we have ever stayed in. There are enough dishes and cutlery to dine with friends and family who are also staying in the complex. The condo includes high quality boogie boards, Tommy Bahama chairs and sturdy umbrellas, 4 cooler bags, Tupperware..you name it! The big bonus with this condo is the 4 bikes the owners have included, which is handy to run up to the Shops or if you feel like a leisurely bike ride to the Beach Club. The pool was amazing, though it is a bit strange that you need a key to get in and out. That was a bit tricky if all of us in our party did not want to go or leave at the same time. While this condo does have a private beach, note that you have to drive (under 5 minutes) or cycle (about 15 minutes) to get there. I do prefer to be able to walk to the beach. Having said that, parking did not seem to be a problem at the Beach Club - there always seemed to be spots available. We will be back!

“Very nice rental”

My wife and daughter stayed at the Fairways at Mauna Lani for four days during summer. We loved the rental. It had two and a half baths, two bedrooms, an upstairs balcony and downstairs patio with grill. The rental was stocked with everything in the kitchen and the whole place was clean and organiz… lisää

My wife and daughter stayed at the Fairways at Mauna Lani for four days during summer. We loved the rental. It had two and a half baths, two bedrooms, an upstairs balcony and downstairs patio with grill. The rental was stocked with everything in the kitchen and the whole place was clean and organized. Plus, we had beach towel, snorkel gear, a cooler and a key card for access to the private Mauna Lani beach club (great for snorkeling). We would definitely stay here again. There is a small gym on property, a two minute drive to a grocery store and a nice pool and hot tub.

“Units 1701 and 1706”

We stayed at 1701 a few years back and 1706 recently. Both of course come with beach club access card and first come first served cabanas which are awesome even if a little soiled. We stayed at 1701 a few years back and 1706 recently. Both of course come with beach club access card and first come first served cabanas which are awesome even if a little soiled. Both units comes with all you need, but I'd not stay in 1706 again. It's right next to the garbage bins enclosure, the door and the 1-st floor bedroom window right against it. People taje the garbage out and bang the lid all night long. Not a big deal if you aren't using that bedroom, but I had an injury making stair challenging, so that didn't work great for me. 1701 is pretty much perfect. Villas, which is next to Fairways and where we also stayed another year, are much more spacious and make it possible to walk to the shops. Pricier, but for a good reason.

“Always excellent, but…”

We love The Fairways - this is our third visit and we will return. We love The Fairways - this is our third visit and we will return. Condos are spacious and well appointed, the grounds are beautifully maintained, swimming and snorkeling at Makaiwa Bay is unparalleled, the location is ideal - close to shops and sights yet away from the busier tourist areas. We are two couples and the 2br/2.5ba floor plan is perfect. Two caveats this trip: the Mauna Lani association needs to replace the beach cabanas. With the amount of $$ visitors pay to stay in the Mauna Lani area - not to mention the monthly homeowner assessments that contribute to maintaining the beach for guests - it was surprising to find the cabanas in such shoddy condition. Cushions were stained, totally flat and awnings were ripped with bent frames. Either maintain the equipment/amenities or do away with them. Also the pool at The Fairways was closed for repairs the entire three weeks of our stay. It would have been nice if arrangements were made with a nearby resort to allow Fairways guests to use their pool in the meantime. Pool and cabanas aside, The Fairways condos are our lovely home away from home when we visit the Big Island!
