“Worth a return visit”

We stayed one night here and would return if we are in Moline again. The hotel is located downtown and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. We stayed one night here and would return if we are in Moline again. The hotel is located downtown and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. While there was some street noise and a train, it was not bothersome and quiet during the night. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, as were the staff cooking the included breakfast (which was excellent). The hotel itself had lots of character and a great lounge area. Overall a great stay!

“Good Stay”

We were looking for a decent hotel for 3 nights in the Quad Cities during a visit to see old friends. After looking at many reviews, we decided this would fit the bill. It is located in old downtown Moline, IL and directly across from the Vibrant Arena in Moline. It is in an area with many bars/restaurants, as well as the Bent River Brewery, if you are inclined to try that (we did). The hotel has a brick exterior as it was formerly a warehouse for various businesses and was converted (see photo with history). It is industrial looking throughout but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet with the exception of an occasional train whistle, if that bothers you (the train track is between the hotel and the Vibrant Arena). We heard nothing in the room other than the train. There was a kitchenette in the room with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot, as well as a sink and dishes if you are inclined to cook in a microwave. Parking is across the street and you are given a card with your folio number on it to put on the dashboard ($5 a day to park, not bad at all). The complementary breakfast on our first morning (Friday) was unfortunately not great as the woman who was cooking omelets was also left trying to keep up with everything else in the breakfast area. We think there was another employee in the back of the breakfast area who apparently wasn't doing the job as plates and trash were piled up and the lady cooking resorted to using paper plates for her omelets as no clean plates were available. Coffee urns were out; yoghurt was gone, and much of what should have still been available wasn't. Just in general if that were our only experience, it would not have been a good impression (this was about 8 or 8:30 and breakfast goes until 9:30 on weekdays). The next day was like day and night. The lady cooking omelets was able to just do that and her helper did exactly what should have been happening the day before. We in fact complimented her for taking care of business. Overall our stay was a good experience and we would definitely stay here again.

“Nice, friendly hotel, and we can bring our dog!”

We visit our son 3-4 times a year at nearby Augustana, and this time, we wanted to bring our dog with to spend time with him. I looked around at a few different places. We visit our son 3-4 times a year at nearby Augustana, and this time, we wanted to bring our dog with to spend time with him. I looked around at a few different places. It seemed the fee for a dog was pretty standard, with this place being $50. The room price was good though, so even with the $50 dog fee, it was still a reasonable price for the one night. With it being a former industrial building, it was nice to have the hard floors, so that our dog wouldn't do any damage. She's pretty much a sleep all day kind of dog, but just having that extra piece of mind was good. Check in was easy and quick, they have parking right across the street that's free, and a nice breakfast bar for the morning. In fact, we forgot extra dog food for our girl, so she got some cheerio's and shredded cheese for breakfast! They also gave us a cute goodie bag when we came back from dinner. Oh, and they give you a magnet to put on the door to let others know that there is a dog in the room. We would definitely stay here again, even tried to for family weekend, but they're all booked up! =(
