“Good hotel near LAX”

Decent hotel with decent rate. Comfortable beds but they’re not queens but the smaller double beds. Didn’t like that. Clean room with good tv, fridge, microwave, fridge, but a couch that slumps in. Decent hotel with decent rate. Comfortable beds but they’re not queens but the smaller double beds. Didn’t like that. Clean room with good tv, fridge, microwave, fridge, but a couch that slumps in. Great breakfast included the morning and close to LAX. They didn’t charge to park the car. Close to major highways and about 15 min to Manhattan Beach Pier. The pool was kind of cold but the hot tub was hot. Clean hotel in a safe area. I did see secure walking around frequently. Very friendly staff. I’d stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Average at best. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past few months for work, and the property is clearly showing its age and due for a meaningful update. The rooms aren’t in bad shape, just dated. The beds are clean and comfortable, but the couches show noticeable wear, including some distress and staining. My biggest issue is the smell. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s consistently noticeable. It’s hard to pinpoint if it’s coming from the furniture, the carpet (which doesn’t look bad), or possibly the ductwork—but it’s there. I’ve gotten to the point where I bring air freshener when I know I’ll be staying here. The pool and outdoor common areas are in good shape, and the gym is solid for a quick workout. The common areas overall are clean, and the staff is consistently very nice, which goes a long way. Overall, it gets the job done for work travel, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
