Outstanding. Very detail oriented. Super friendly and helpful staff. Cooked omelettes for you. Greeted you in and out the door. Offered suggestions. Coffee and water bottle refilled right at the entrance. Beds comfortable. We moved to the Ayres Hotel in Fountain valley as we traveled north and honestly I would have rather stayed in Costa Mesa and drove a little farther each day.

Clean, well kept rooms. A bit of a secluded location. Two different pools/jacuzzis to choose from. Awesome rates. Good front desk customer service. Good restaurant on site. The Ayres Hotel signature style is classic, European old style as far as aesthetic is concerned. The only thing that I would change is the carpet. This hotel still has carpeted rooms which is a bit outdated as far as style is concerned but the rooms are clean. This is the 3rd Ayres hotel we've stayed. We stayed at the Pomona location decades ago for the night before my wedding. We've also stayed at the Laguna Woods CA Ayres which was a nice experience as well :)

The courtyard is stunning! European-inspired with flowing fountains, classical statues, glowing amber lights, and charming striped parasols that feel straight out of the French Riviera. Surrounded by shuttered French doors and balcony-lined architecture, it’s a peaceful escape from the busy city. What truly elevates the experience is the staff. Moises, Reilly, Diego, and Valerie at the front desk are an exceptional team—warm, efficient, and completely in sync. They welcome guests with genuine kindness and energy, moving seamlessly while making everyone feel seen. It’s rare to witness that level of teamwork and hospitality. Dining is delicious, the pool is a beautiful blue-lagoon retreat, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. The value for this experience is incredible. This is more than a hotel stay, it’s a step into timeless charm. I will absolutely be back.

“Five Star Hotel without the five star price!”

I hate to give my "Home Away From Home" an excellent review...only because I don't want it to be fully booked when I need to stay there, lol. But I love the AYRES Hotel, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I always feel right at home.
