“Using Cut-Fruit Platters at the Sheraton Club Lounge”

The City of San Gabriel has approximately 11 to 16 hotels and this one is the only hotel offering a Club Lounge access. That's the main reason I come here again for staying to celebrate a special occasion. Note: Per TripAdvisor standard, the City of San Gabriel has only 5 hotels - This Sheraton is rated as #2, but I choose to stay here instead of the No. 1 hotel (Hilton) that is only 0.3 mile away from this hotel, because the Hilton hotel does not have a Club Lounge. That's another reason why Hilton can't surpass the Marriott in the numbers of rooms or overall scale (more rooms, properties.) Wish Marriott will advise each M Club Lounge to start using cut-fruit platters like this Sheraton property, which inherited with the brand name of Sheraton since 1937. I am impressed with the cut-fruit platters at breakfast at the Club Lounge since I have not yet find the same at many M Club Lounges in the U.S. for a long time. The taste between the two makes a big difference. Per Mark, a friendly waiter, the management team took many feedbacks from many Elite members and made a change a few weeks ago to move away from soggy chunks fruits to cut-fruits platters to enhance the fruit quality and taste experience at the Club Lounge! The hotel has a high quality bed as well as robe that you may difficult to find among most hotels in San Gabriel. I am also impressed with a quality of the guestroom, especially its bathroom that uses a real marble, the lights will be automatically turned on upon entering the bathroom and turned off after no one is there to save the electrical bill; the bathroom wall has a nice pattern marble that immediately makes me feel cozy and luxury feeling. This luxury hotel, unfortunately, does not have a hot tub while its main competitor at the Gilton has a small 4 or 5 loader hot tub for its guests pleasure. This hotel has a large and luxury conference room to host many VIP events year over year! Finally, thank Liz for checking me in quickly and friendly.

Jocelyn at the front desk was great! She was friendly, welcoming, and took time to connect with us and showed genuine interest in making sure our stay was taken care of. She was so kind and helpful!

“Loved our stay!”

Great stay. No issues dealing with staff. Everything was straightforward and if I requested anything, it’s promptly attended to. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Rooms are clean and attended daily. We enjoyed our stay! Close to many restaurants. I will stay here again and most definitely recommend it.

“Sheraton Stay During the Holidays”

I stayed at the Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel with my family from Christmas Day to New Years' Eve 2024. I wanted to take advantage of my elite status to get free lounge access to a hotel in the Los Angeles area, and this was the lowest cost one I could find that wasn't too far from the attractions we planned to visit. I got a long-term stay rate of just under $200 night. We arrived on Christmas Day on a early morning flight, so we arrived well before the regular check-in time. I wasn't sure if they would have any rooms available yet, so I asked. The front desk were very professional and friendly. They said a room was available on the club floor, so I gladly accepted it. However, once I reached my room, the first thing I noticed was a smell. Someone had smoked in the room, despite the no smoking policy laws. I immediately had to turnaround and let the front desk know. They apologized for the inconvenience, but since no rooms were available, we stored our bags and went our for a late lunch. On our return, we were assigned a new room on the club floor. This room was fine. It's a fairly standard looking Sheraton will familiar color schemes. Good size room and bathroom, and it was clean. WiFi worked well. Mini-fridge was silent. I always like having an in-room safe. I often find Sheraton beds a little firm, but OK. We did take advantage of the club lounge. It's actually nicer looking than a number of Sheratons I've been too, but is very small. The breakfast meets the minimum requirements of a hot egg, hot meat, some time of potato, fruit, cereal/oatmeal, pastries, fruit, juices and coffee. Nothing special, but was good enough to start the day. They also have hors d'oeuvres from 4-6pm, but the two times I visited, the offering was pretty bad. I'm usually not that picky, but the food was basically microwaved food and was hardly edible, so not worth waiting around for. I used the gym a few times and it was fine. I never saw anyone else when I used it. Hotel is conveniently located near a number of restaurant and Asian supermarkets, which I enjoy visiting. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit. It's a fairly typical Sheraton in terms of looks, with an average club lounge and well located for a tourist to visit LA for the week.

“Average property but ok for a short trip.”

Decent property for a short stay but support in the lounge etc is quite average. Evening food in the lounge was limited and did not have support for dietary restrictions on both the nights we stayed. The pool is quite small and is quite full for the size. Rooms were ok. Carpets are a little dirty a… lisää
