In Nov. 2025, the front entrance was being remodeled. Other parts, like the stairwells need remodeling. It is part by part, here and there. Security was lacking; due to the remodel, the temporary exits/entrance on first floor was easily accessibly by anyone. The parking lot was completely dark. The elevator was squeaky and small, felt old. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Ours had a microwave and refrigerator, both well situated. I felt this was overpriced for the mishmash of remodeling and parts that probably won't ever get remodeled. Gym was good. Staff was very professional. Bar/cafe was helpful and had decent selections.

Just a one night stay enroute by car going north on I-5 after Yosemite. Although evening staff, like Aaron, are superbly helpful (great restaurant recommendation) and good overall attitude, the hotel room and some other issues with the property reminded me why I don't stay at Courtyard anymore. I should have heeded my own advice and paid extra for another Marriott property which includes newer features and has complimentary breakfast. The prices charged for breakfast here are unacceptably high. But at least parking is free. Stockton Courtyard is reasonably located and especially helpful in terms of looking for other restaurants to have breakfast (rather than the hotel). The lobby looks renovated, and hallways seem to be so as well. Rooms, however, are very "old school". My pet peeve is shower curtains used in shower/tub combo bathrooms. Yuk! Hopefully these will be ripped out and replaced with clear plastic shower only choices. Towels here are just barely average, for price paid. And the teeny tiny one person sink, with no real area to set down your dop kit, is a real downer. At least the air conditioner worked and was quiet. Fitness room is pretty good overall. I was able to get in a good workout. Unfortunately the pool area is closed currently for renovation. That was somewhat disappointing.

This is a Marriott-managed hotel. I believe this means that the hotel has been leased and managed by Marriott. This is an older hotel. The bedroom was ok. Good bed. Horrible lighting. This is a Marriott-managed hotel. I believe this means that the hotel has been leased and managed by Marriott. This is an older hotel. The bedroom was ok. Good bed. Horrible lighting. It was fairly quiet. The bathroom was incredibly dated. There’s this weird little sink area outside the bathroom with a little counter mounted above the sink which severely limits screws to the faucet. On the plus side, employees are very nice and extremely helpful! (THANK YOU, Tom!!)

The hotel really shows its age and could use a refresh. I can deal with that as it was one night. What really got me was the service from the night clerk. We are Ambassadors. The hotel really shows its age and could use a refresh. I can deal with that as it was one night. What really got me was the service from the night clerk. We are Ambassadors. There is no lounge in this hotel so we asked what the hotel does for Ambassadors. Nothing apparently. Finally - and rather begrudgingly - the clerk gave us a coupon for breakfast at the Starbucks-like bistro in the lobby. He really couldn't be bothered with us. He was more interested in listening to whatever was on his earbuds. By contrast, Mike, the AM front desk clerk was bouncy and cheerful/ ready to help. What a difference 12 hours makes. This hotel rates a "meh" in my book. The room is clean. It is a place to put your head.
