This location was perfect for what we needed. We like having a kitchen when staying for a few days. The room was spacious. Daily breakfast was nice and we truly enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The highlight of our stay was the amazing help from Lee at the front desk. The initial trip shifted and he was immensely helpful with extending our stay, more than once. He worked to ensure other family members who were checking in were in close proximity. He always had a smile on his face, kind words or even a joke, and went above and beyond to help in whatever way he could. The entire family loved him. He is such a joy, a wonderful person and a great asset to Marriott.

I stayed at this location for close to a month, and here’s my detailed review of both the pros and cons of the property. Pros Professionalism & Friendliness The friendliness of the front desk staff is the best quality of this property. They are always ready to help and genuinely empathetic toward guests. I had a serious cleanliness issue with the first room I was assigned to, but the front desk team (Pony and Michael) immediately reassigned me to a new, clean room the next day. One of them even personally inspected the new room to ensure it was extra clean. On another occasion, I needed to send out a last-minute fax and scan some documents. The front desk ladies helped me promptly. I forgot to ask their names, but to the blonde and brunette ladies who assisted me—you were wonderful. Thank you! Location The property is conveniently located right next to the entrance and exit of Highway 55, making it very easy to get anywhere. There’s a FedEx in the same plaza, which is great for business travelers. There’s also a Starbucks and a casual dining spot nearby, so grabbing a quick bite or coffee is easy and convenient. Easy & Affordable Parking The open-space parking lot offers plenty of spots, and the fee is relatively affordable. However, note that there’s no gate for added security. Cons Cleanliness Can Be an Issue As mentioned earlier, the first room I was assigned to was surprisingly dirty. The bed was made and everything looked fine at first glance—but the toilet bowl was only partially cleaned, a towel was stained, a fork in the drawer was greasy, and the sofa was so dusty that the back of my shirt was covered in white residue after sitting on it. It was honestly quite unpleasant, and I had to request a room change. The front desk staff handled it professionally and assured me that my experience was not typical. I believe they reported the issue. The second room I received was completely clean and had none of these problems. Limited Coffee and Hot Water Availability Most Residence Inns I’ve stayed at offer extended hour coffee and hot water in the lobby, but this one only provides them during breakfast hours. It’s a small inconvenience, but worth noting. Surroundings There’s ongoing construction nearby, and the freeway runs right next to the property. If you’re looking for scenic surroundings or a quiet atmosphere, this may not be the best choice.

“Newer hotel, decent location, nice room layout.”

We stayed here in July for 4 nights. There was a water polo Junior Olympics event so it was very busy. Despite that, we had a nice quiet stay. The hotel felt pretty new. We stayed here in July for 4 nights. There was a water polo Junior Olympics event so it was very busy. Despite that, we had a nice quiet stay. The hotel felt pretty new. We had a regular room, with the beds on one side and the living area/kitchen on the other side. This type of layout had a nice separation between the sleeping and living areas and we appreciate that. Kitchenette: I always bring my own pan and silicone cooking tools with me. The hotel only had nylon cooking utensils. The dishes / utensils were adequate but the cooking tools were not. The refrigerator was clean. We were cooking dumplings and it took about 15-20 minutes (!!) to boil the water on the stove, so plan accordingly! Location: This Tustin location is ok. We were visiting friends in Irvine so it was about 10 minutes away. Trader Joe’s was about 10 minutes away. There were two Costco’s, one that was 7 minutes away and another one that was 10-15 minutes away. Breakfast: The breakfast was just ok. They had a waffle station, so the kids ate waffles every day.

This Residence Inn in Orange County meets the usual high Residence Inn standards. It provided a large clean room with good amenities, including kitchen amenities. The staff was friendly, and there were enough parking spaces during a recent two-night stay. The complimentary hot breakfast was adequate; more fruits and variety would improve it. The hotel sits in an area that feels safe and quiet (despite being near a highway), but travelers seeking to walk to nearby attractions will likely find only a nearby coffee shop and small burger place in the immediate area.
