My best friend and I stayed here for a local overnight getaway to catch up. We envisioned spending the afternoon lounging poolside with food and drinks delivered to our chairs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the experience we found. When we entered the pool area, we were surprised to see only a couple of daybeds available. The space isn’t really designed for relaxing by the pool during the day—it’s clearly geared more toward an evening party atmosphere, with plenty of seating for socializing rather than lounging. The food options at the pool bar were also disappointing. The bartender mentioned there were additional lunch choices near the lobby, but when we arrived, we found only pre-made salads and sandwiches in the coffee shop. That wasn’t quite what we had in mind. Thankfully, the employee working there recommended 33 Taps next door, where we enjoyed a much larger selection of freshly made food. One thing worth noting: the pool bar is not operated by the hotel, so the destination food and beverage credit cannot be used there. That said, the hotel itself is trendy, fun, and definitely caters to a younger crowd. True to the Moxy brand, the rooms are small but modern, and everything was clean. The staff throughout the hotel were kind, welcoming, and helpful. If you’re looking for a fun, clean hotel within walking distance of Crypto.com Arena, this is a great choice. Just don’t expect a traditional resort-style pool experience.
