“Pleasant stay at the Hyatt in Portland, Maine”

The Hyatt is in a great location with many restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The view from my room was scenic and the bed was super comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The staff was also super friendly and informative

We love the rooms, and the rooftop deck of this hotel. The views of the water can't be beat. The upgrades they are doing to their lobby and cafe areas are nicely done and feel so welcoming we are loving that! This hotel is right downtown, and you can walk anywhere you need to go in Portland. We highly recommend this place. It is welcoming, clean, comfortable, perfectly located, and the people are great here and accommodating. We look forward to staying here at least once a year!

The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the Old Port, with many restaurants and shops in very close walking distance. The hotel's staff is truly excellent - several employees were friendly and helpful and made an extra effort to make us comfortable during our stay, which we greatly appreciated. My only criticism is that the hotel appears to be under-staffed. We visited for three nights during the busy and sold out July 4th weekend, but housekeeping never cleaned our room on our second day and we had to call twice to get the room cleaned on the third day. Similarly, while everyone at the front desk was great, and assisted by the affable and helpful bar tender, they really need more people manning the front desk, particularly during the Summer high season in Maine. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay and I would certainly recommend the hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the Old Port, and the staff is terrific. The only issue keeping this from being a 5 star review is the hotel's staffing numbers, which are clearly a bit lacking.
