“Older, but Great Location & Quiet Beauty”

We were there during the off season (early May) so it was very quiet with not very many other tenants. The place is older and is in need of some refurbishing and updating (in our unit anyway). Would stay again for the location and quiet.

The unit smelled very clean. The bathroom could have used a little more detailing. Clear faucet handles are a bad idea and do not stay clean. Location is close to restaurants and stores. Staff was pleasant. Review as Timeshare: I never owned a Timeshare, but my parents owned 2 for 30 years, so I am no stranger to Timeshare ownership. The kitchen and bath cabinets are well past their prime and need updating.

We arrived on Saturday and on Monday we had to be moved due to the unit being besieged with flying termites. They were all over the floor, the counters, the refrigerator, the dishes that were drying in the dish rack, in the sink and hundreds on the skylight in the kitchen. Thankfully, that is where they were concentrated and not through the whole unit. Mind you, there were 4 of us and we had just done all our shopping for the week and making that transition was no small feat. They moved us to a smaller unit that lacked the space we had in the first one. You think they would have upgraded us to a better unit but we were not about to move again. The washer and dryer was located in a basement full of cobwebs and looked like no one had been down there in years. The next place we moved to had a washer & dryer across the way from us. My children used it but I did not so I am assuming it was better. The place is very outdated but it was clean with the exception of the termites in the 1st unit. I don't think anything has been replaced in these units in many years. Needs new pots & pans & other kitchen utensils as well as big bowls and things to accommodate you when you cook. We had to go out and buy a skillet that food would not stick to. Had to ask for measuring spoons, corkscrew , & laundry basket, there also was no broom but they had a dustpan. The jacuzzi tub in the 2nd unit was leaking (45) and the maintenance man came over and said it was flooding the basement and we were told we could no longer use it. The pool hours are ridiculous. The indoor and outdoor pools closed at 4:45. Staff was nice and things from housekeeping were brought in a timely manner. If you need anything after 5pm you are out of luck unless it is an emergency. Otherwise, it was quiet but not sure I would stay again. My sister's & I stayed there about 10 years ago in the same unit #38 and everything was still the same. It was like stepping back in time.

“Below average resort”

Not a place to go back to. Location wise close to lots of beaches and things to do. If you don't mind a staying at a so so place give it a try.
