Booked this hotel as we had business in the area. We reserved a room with a balcony based on other reviews, but street view and not much going on while we were there. The room was quiet, spacious and clean, but wouldn't necessarily book the balcony next time. However, the service was great and we really liked having the sports bar/restaurant within the hotel as well as a small bistro. Convenient location to shopping area.

The hotel is a newer but standard Courtyard experience. Nick at the front desk was excellent on check-in. The people in the Bistro were very efficient and welcoming on a busy weekend morning. “Great location. Room furniture and excessive light at night could use attention room 405”

This is a lovely hotel, walking distance to shopping and dining on 9th street. The folks at the desk were always pleasant. I loved the fruit-infused ice water decanter that was always available in the lobby, though I do wish they offered paper cups instead of plastic. Some minor issues, but nothin… lisää

This is a lovely hotel, walking distance to shopping and dining on 9th street. The folks at the desk were always pleasant. I loved the fruit-infused ice water decanter that was always available in the lobby, though I do wish they offered paper cups instead of plastic. Some minor issues, but nothing major. We thought breakfast was included - but it was not. So we had to stand in a long line and pay just for coffee, etc, in the morning, which was a bummer. But, the silver lining was that it forced us to get up and at ‘em earlier, and we found the Windmill and Bowerman’s on 8th down the street. At the hotel, we loved that our balcony looked out over 8th street. One negative was that the door to the room lets in a lot of light at night, and the smoke detector has these irregularly flashing lights that drove me absolutely crazy when I was struggling to fall asleep. The bathroom has some kind of night light under the counter, which seems great, but all in all it was much too much light for sleeping, for those of us who prefer dark anyway. Another slight issue is that the bathroom counter console and the furniture in the room were slightly beat up, revealing the cheap particle board underneath. That could use repair in room 405. But all in all, it was a comfortable room and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

I'm normally a Hilton guy, but this Courtyard has a location that can't be beat. It's right on the "main drag" of Holland downtown, with dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops within a few block radius. I was there in the winter, so there wasn't much hustle bustle. I'm normally a Hilton guy, but this Courtyard has a location that can't be beat. It's right on the "main drag" of Holland downtown, with dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops within a few block radius. I was there in the winter, so there wasn't much hustle bustle. Staff was nice. Rooms are trendy. One elevator was on the fritz. I'll be back.
