“Good Hotel .... Clean, Friendly, Comfortable”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. We have never been before but would go again. All employees we had any contact with were very professional and friendly. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. We have never been before but would go again. All employees we had any contact with were very professional and friendly. Front desk staff helpful especially Lisa. I did not get names of others but they were very nice too. The breakfast was good, however, serving area a bit small and crowded on weekend. You just have to be patient. Plenty of table space though. Our room was comfortable and clean. The only negative about this hotel is that it is hard to find. It is located off 28th Street near I-96. Turn in where you see Target (28th Street) and go around to the side. You will pass a Hampton Inn and then SpringHill Suites will be next on your left. Better signs and directions would be helpful. We liked this hotel and would definitely stay there again. We recommend.

I love the hotel. I was here last month and couples months before that. Rooms were clean had everything that I wanted and needed.The guy named Ray that works for the front desk at night time. I love the hotel. I was here last month and couples months before that. Rooms were clean had everything that I wanted and needed.The guy named Ray that works for the front desk at night time. He is really good helper. He’s knows how to talk to people. Always smiling. Makes good conversation. Goes above and beyond for customers. All around very good worker. He helped me if I couldn’t figure the shower. Or if I asked for something he would bring it. Never complains about anything. Now someone like that you need to keep around and treat them good. I’m telling you i would have made him an assistant manger by now. Good guy.

“A convenient place to stay for an early morning flight”

Spent two nights at Springhill Suites/Grand Rapids and found it to be a comfortable stay. Spent two nights at Springhill Suites/Grand Rapids and found it to be a comfortable stay. It was the closest hotel to the airport, although not easily walk-able to the airport, but they had free shuttle service, which is why I chose the hotel. I had read several prior reviews indicating the shuttle service, beginning at 4am, was not reliable, but in my case, there were no issues. I was able to call the hotel for an airport pick up, and the shuttle came in 10 minutes to pick me up. I was also able to secure a 4am shuttle to the airport on the morning I left (for a 6am flight). Apparently the shuttle service also picks up from another nearby hotel at 4am – so it was about 4:10 when I got picked up – but I made it to the airport on time without any problems. I did remind staff of my early shuttle need, which is important to do as I am not sure if they regularly come at 4am if no one is needing an early shuttle. Also note the hotel is about 20 min from downtown Grand Rapids, but uber worked well for getting downtown. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is possible to walk from the hotel (about a 1/4 mile) to an area that has several restaurants and big chain stores. There were deer in a wooded area that I saw along the walk, which was lovely to see. The bed in the room I stayed in, was comfortable, the room was clean, the heater worked well, there were black-out curtains, a small fridge, and it was quiet. The breakfast was very basic, without much flavor, but edible. I did ask for a wake-up call at 3am (although I had an alarm), but the call didn’t happen. Fortunately my alarm worked well, so no issues. Overall, I would stay there again with an early flight out of Grand Rapids. Many thanks to all the friendly staff!

After a very nice experience on another business trip out east, I decided to try another Springhill Suites hoping it would be as good as the last. After a very nice experience on another business trip out east, I decided to try another Springhill Suites hoping it would be as good as the last. The desk staff were efficient and friendly as per usual and even had a small gift bag of bottled waters which was a nice touch. The room itself was very nicely decorated and furnished, but there definitely were some cleaning mistakes that were disappointing. I noted about 3 large if light stains throughout the room that looked as if they hadn't been attempted to be cleaned, and a beer bottle cap was lying near one as a entered the room. The spots that needed cleaning were ones that did somewhat blend into the couch and the wall decor, and could have easily been missed, but after my horrible experience with a Wyndam I've started looking significantly closer at rooms I stay at.
