We had to relocate for a couple of days while service folks were in our house. We chose Staybridge because they were close and accepted pets. Our stay was outstanding from the moment we arrived. Our pups are rescues and not use to people or other animals. Upon explaining this to the young man who checked us in, he found us a room that was at the end of the hall and had little traffic/noise around it. There was an evening reception, the snacks were top-notch, those that should have been hot, were. And those that should have been cold, were. Lots of variety. Drinks available were non-alcoholic, i.e., coke, coffee... Ditto breakfast, especially finding bacon on the buffet. Our room was clean and comfortable. We really appreciated having a "real" 12 cup drip coffee maker as we drink a lot of coffee and bring our own grounds when traveling. Plenty of USB and electric outlets available at convenient locations. The wifi was topnotch. We were both able to work from the room without internet issues. Poop bags were available outside at dog walking stations as well as trash cans for deposing the bags. Ditto available inside at the front desk along with dog treats. Lots of eateries within walking distance. All of the staff were awesome, from front desk to dining attendants to housekeeping! Plenty of parking available. If there was a negative, it would be the shower pressure. A little more water force would have been appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Okemos area.

I think this was our first time staying at a Staybridge Suites. The room was great, the breakfast was great, and there's just one thing that would prevent me from booking at a Staybridge again. I think this was our first time staying at a Staybridge Suites. The room was great, the breakfast was great, and there's just one thing that would prevent me from booking at a Staybridge again. Hotels really should know better than to use perfume in their laundry! Unscented has been the industry standard forever afaik, but now that's slipping. Perfume in the room itself, even if it's just from cleaning products instead of deliberate scent, is unfortunately common, so I'm grateful when a room smells like "nothing." The room perfume was tolerable here, not that strong. But sheesh, in the sheets and towels too? If it weren't for that I would've been very happy with the place. We were only there one night and I didn't bother to complain. But while I'm complaining here, there was one more thing: this situation in the bathtub (photo below) was a bit jarring. (The bathroom "needed updating," but I rarely care about that. It was fine.) Everything else was really nice.
