I stayed here for 1.5 months while my home was being repaired due to our June storm. The staff is very friendly and kind and so helpful. They too were affected by the storm, however that hotel ran so efficiently. It is a very clean hotel from the grounds to the interior. Andrew, the GM, is a very hands-on manager. He was always helping staff, customers or dealing with contractors. His staff has a lot of respect for him as well as myself. It's a wonderful place to stay. You will not regret your stay at South Shore hotel. Thank you all for your kindness and support during a wild time in my life! Mary

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised that, even though the hotel was fully booked and it was during the height of tourist season, they always answered the phone within a few rings and I never had to wait in a call queue. You don't see that very often these days! The staff were friendly and helpful at every turn, even though they had just been through a terrible storm and were working hard to get the place fixed. We were in Bemidji for a family function and needed to get an early check-in so we would have time to get ready. Despite the fact that they had a power outage that morning, they were more than accommodating to us. The room was comfy and even though you could tell the storm caused some damages, there were no issues at all with the room. After we checked out the next day, I realized that I forgot an electronic device when we got home. I called the front desk and they had found the device in the room after we checked out and were able to FedEx it to me. I hadn't been to Bemidji in close to 20 years and hadn't seen how built-up the southern shore of the lake had become. I was pleasantly surprised that even though the town seems a bit bigger, it still remains a friendly and welcoming place, even under very difficult and busy circumstances. We will definitely be back for another (longer) stay next summer!

“Our #1 Stay!”

Love love this hotel! They are so accommodating to your needs and everything is so clean. The bed was like sinking into a cloud. The view and lakeside location is the best! Love the inside/outside hot tub. So relaxing and a great Bemidji stay!

Pool area looks brand new and has two pool - adult pool and a large shallow kids pool that has some water park features. Breakfast quality is better than most hotels in this category. One of the nicest 3-star hotels.
