We’ve stayed at a few local hotels in/around Mayo on our multiple visits this summer. We will definitely stay here again on future visits. Although the rooms are a bit outdated, the hotel is clean. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The hotel is approximately four blocks from Mayo Clinic and is an easy walk. The shuttle is WONDERFUL and can take you several places in Rochester. We were here long enough to need the laundry and the area was very clean and affordable ($1.50/load-you will need quarters). The employees were all very nice and helpful. The attached restaurant, Twigs, has great food and is wonderful to have when you don’t want to leave the grounds after a long day.

July 2025 To begin, I can’t speak for the suites, we stayed in a tower room? Friendly staff, the common areas and room were clean. The included breakfast was plentiful. Hot eggs and sausage, items to toast, juices, coffee, fresh fruit and cereals. Too many gripe about hotel breakfasts. If you want a more expansive breakfast go to a full service restaurant. We really appreciated the amazing nightly pricing available for those with appointments at Mayo Clinic, free parking, and a convenient free shuttle service that is available to Mayo, St. Mary’s hospital, and most any location within a mile of the Centerstone. The restaurant on the property, “Twigs” didn’t disappoint. Great service and amazing food. Eating outside during our visit was a wonderful experience. I have to agree with many other reviewers, that stated the hotel is dated, not sure why renovations haven’t been done. We’ve stayed at worse. We did not use the pool area but felt even though it was clean it wasn’t an overly inviting area. Our room had everything we needed. Clean, fluffy towels, but bed linens were thin. The pillows left a lot to be desired. Our king bed had 6 flat standard sized pillows, each folded in half tucked into standard pillowcases to look like a European square pillow, pretty, but not practical. Mattress was fair, let’s say well used. When we find ourselves in the Rochester area we’ll look at this property for lodging. October 2025 We just spent another two nights at this property. I would repeat the review I originally wrote above, (But forgot to post), another pleasant comfortable experience, (I did bring my own pillow, my husband chose not to and regretted his decision)

“Great Location”

The staff is friendly and happy to answer questions. My room was clean, but dated. I did not like how extremely loud the heater was and the room still felt cold. The bathroom was functional, but super tiny. Overall the stay was fine, but not worth $140+/night. I loved the hotel location to downtown… lisää

The bathroom was functional, but super tiny. Overall the stay was fine, but not worth $140+/night. I loved the hotel location to downtown, Mayo, and a market is within walking distance (great made to order sandwiches, tacos, salad options). Free shuttle but takes a long time to depart/arrive. GREAT: -FREE breakfast buffet offers hearty options including tasty scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, sausage, juice and more! -Easy walk to Mayo and downtown -FREE parking -The whirlpool is very nice
