The Inn of The Turquoise Bear is where we got married in 2007. We love it so much that this was our third time spending our anniversary there. Everything is fabulous from the delicious homemade breakfast to the very comfortable and thoughtful room decor that sets the tone for the time period. The grounds have paths beautifully lined with flowers and lights for night time. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. Alina was such an amazing host. We appreciated her recommendations on local events and restaurants. We enjoyed the International Folk Market and loved Tomasitos.

The property itself is utterly charming — a beautiful, historic adobe estate nestled on a lush acre of gardens with a peaceful, serene vibe that perfectly captures the spirit of Santa Fe. Every corner feels thoughtfully cared for, with artistic touches, cozy seating areas, and that classic Southwestern elegance that makes you want to linger. Our host, Michael, was simply amazing and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay special — offering insider tips on local spots, ensuring we had everything we needed, and making us feel like valued guests (more like family, really). His warmth and attentiveness truly elevated the experience. The breakfasts were outstanding — fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious each morning. We looked forward to starting our days with such wonderful meals in the lovely common areas, chatting with other guests. Location-wise, it couldn’t have been better. We’re big walkers, and being just a short, pleasant stroll from the Plaza, galleries, restaurants, and all the vibrant energy of downtown Santa Fe was perfect. We could easily explore during the day and return to this peaceful oasis. One of the absolute highlights was the lovely pie evening (Friday Pie Day!). Slicing into that fresh, homemade pie after a day of exploring was such a treat — cozy, indulgent, and the perfect way to unwind. It added such a special, homey touch to our evenings. We can’t recommend the Inn of the Turquoise Bear highly enough. Whether you’re visiting for art, culture, food, or just a relaxing getaway, this is the place to stay. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Michael and the whole team, for a truly wonderful experience. If you’re heading to Santa Fe, book this gem — you won’t regret it!

“Oasis in Santa Fe”

What is spectacular place. Alex and the staff make everything so comfortable and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms are perfectly appointed. I won’t be anywhere else in Santa Fe.
