I’ve visited this particular hotel several times. My first stay was eventful per my review. I found several areas of improvement in cleanliness of room, staff education on professionalism, efficiency, overall quality of service, the hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. On my visit in 2/21/2026; I noticed significant changes in the way the Hyaat, South Ozone Park, NY operates as far as the flexibility of concierge staff (same ones which I interacted on several occasions), front desk agents’ education, efficiency of room, in room delivery of requested items, cleanliness of room, checkout process. My February 2026 visit was positive, I’d like to keep it this way for my followers. ;-)

We recently stayed for two nights at the Hyatt Regency JFK Airport as a family and had a mixed experience. We arrived at approximately 3:15 PM, hoping to settle in shortly after arrival. Unfortunately, our room was not ready until 5:00 PM. Traveling with a 4-month-old baby, this was particularly challenging, as we needed a private space to change diapers and feed him. Waiting nearly two hours in the lobby after a long travel day was quite disappointing. In addition, our interaction with a staff member at the market was not pleasant. The service felt unfriendly and unwelcoming, which was unexpected at a Hyatt property. That said, there were positive aspects to our stay. Once we were able to access the room, the bed was clean and very comfortable, and we had a good night’s rest. The Regency Club also provided nice food, which we appreciated. Overall, while the room comfort and club offerings were good, the delayed check-in and service experience significantly impacted our stay. I hope the hotel can improve room readiness and customer service, especially for families traveling with young children.

“Great hotel let down by the casino and staff”

I stayed for one night and used a Club Upgrade voucher - the headline is…. I wish I hadn’t used the voucher as the Club lounge is not great. I stayed for one night and used a Club Upgrade voucher - the headline is…. I wish I hadn’t used the voucher as the Club lounge is not great. The room is lovely and modern, with a large comfy bed and great modern bathroom. The hotel took a bit of getting to as it is on the other side of the casino, and you have to be escorted through which was a pain. Check in was friendly and overall the hotel is a nice hotel. The Club lounge is a shadow of its former self - with wine in a can, and pretty average food. I realise this is true of most club lounges in the US but this lounge used to be better - and I am disappointed it is no longer what it was. The biggest issue were the staff who did not give two hoots about the customers, and their attitude stank! I really do have mixed feelings about the hotel - the hard furnishing are lovely but the staff and the attachment to the casino are not great - for a hotel that calls itself JFK, and not have a shuttle is vey poor - I will go to other hotels next time I am at JFK
