Quick 4 day trip to NYC & stayed here. I had a room on 2nd floor as I had read about elevators. I was surprised to discover there was a private patio attached! The weather was mild so I drank my coffee in the a.m & a glass of wine in the pm (They supplied an extra comforter so I could get cozy!) every day! The front desk amazing-shout out to Ashton, Janelle, Ariel & Xavier!! Close to Moxy -has an awesome 35th floor bar!

“Great Location, Tiny Rooms, and Absolute Breakfast Chaos”

Stayed at the TownePlace Suites Manhattan/Chelsea for a weekend getaway, and the main selling point is definitely the location. Stayed at the TownePlace Suites Manhattan/Chelsea for a weekend getaway, and the main selling point is definitely the location. You can walk to Penn Station, Times Square, and pretty much all the classic “New York is New York” spots. If you’re here to explore the city and just need a place to crash, it does the job. Just be ready for very small rooms, pack light or you’ll be climbing over your own stuff. The building is tall, so the elevators fill up fast. If you’re on a schedule, add a few extra minutes because you might be waiting. Breakfast was honestly the wildest scene I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Crowded, chaotic, and not exactly relaxing. This is not the place for calm or quiet. Overall, it’s a standard NYC hotel: compact, busy, and all about the location. If you want to stay in Manhattan without paying a fortune and don’t mind the hustle, it’s a solid pick.

“Great location for average hotel”

Well situated and close to Penn Station, the subway and shopping (Macy's), this hotel has smallish rooms that are comfortable with fairly basic ammenties. Several things in the room did not work (coffee maker, HVAC) but the hotel addressed post stay. Breakfast is well organized but the food quali… lisää

Well situated and close to Penn Station, the subway and shopping (Macy's), this hotel has smallish rooms that are comfortable with fairly basic ammenties. Several things in the room did not work (coffee maker, HVAC) but the hotel addressed post stay. Breakfast is well organized but the food quality is average (these hotels always have the weirdest reheated egg products).

“An ok stay”

We stayed here for 4 nights and there was some great things about it and some bad. We stayed on the 5th floor and were in a corner room- we could not hear the elevators but right by a stairwell door which slam shut so loud- installing something to make it not slam would help a lot. We stayed here for 4 nights and there was some great things about it and some bad. We stayed on the 5th floor and were in a corner room- we could not hear the elevators but right by a stairwell door which slam shut so loud- installing something to make it not slam would help a lot. We had to unplug our fridge too because of the loud noises it made. Bed was comfortable- we requested extra pillows which never came, but slept fine overall. The staff were all very nice. Breakfast was mediocre and busy- the standard unfortunately. Location is super convenient for anywhere you’re going- one block from the subway. We used the bar area for our luggage which helped with space since the room is pretty small. Overall good stay & decent price. If the elevators didn’t suck so bad people wouldn’t use the stairs and slam the doors.
