I love this hotel chain because the rooms are spacious and the hotel is very homey. This location was outstanding. I was only supposed to be there four days but ended up having to stay an extra day due to the snow. The front desk staff were great and were able to accommodate me for another night. All the other people working there would always smile and say hello when passing me in the hall. The room was clean and quiet. The rest of the facility was spotless. Would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area. Well done!

I recently stayed at the Marriott Chapel Hill and had a great experience. One of the highlights of this hotel is its proximity to Wegmans grocery store, which was an awesome plus for me. Additionally, being very close to the highway made it incredibly convenient for travel purposes. The overall ambiance of the hotel was quiet and comfortable, allowing for a peaceful stay. Moreover, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the accommodations, which added to the overall positive experience. “Needs renovation ASAP”

Pros: big rooms for families; very friendly staff; pretty grounds with fire pit by the pool almost always running; close to UNC Cons: it’s way past time to update the rooms. They don’t feel clean and I don’t think that can be attributed to housekeeping. The furnishings are just so old and the room… lisää

Pros: big rooms for families; very friendly staff; pretty grounds with fire pit by the pool almost always running; close to UNC Cons: it’s way past time to update the rooms. They don’t feel clean and I don’t think that can be attributed to housekeeping. The furnishings are just so old and the rooms have a stale feeling. Our allergies are pretty bad, and we could definitely tell animals had been in our room. Our coffee machine in the room was broken, several lights in the kitchen didn’t turn on, the tub had some weird rust stains, the common areas were worn and dirty, and the room was like a time capsule to 1992. Marriott needs to refresh the place asap. It has a lot of potential given location. The staff is doing their best with what they’ve got to offer. But, it’s time for a serious renovation.
