An older condo that could use some updating, but it met our needs just fine. Plenty of room inside, though the master bathroom was very small. Enjoyed the ocean front of the 3 bedroom unit. An older condo that could use some updating, but it met our needs just fine. Plenty of room inside, though the master bathroom was very small. Enjoyed the ocean front of the 3 bedroom unit. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Liked that they had laundry on-site that was free to use. Loved the easy boardwalk over the dunes to get to the beach and the area to rinse the sand off on the way back in. I thought it odd that with 3 bedrooms, one was a king and both other rooms had 2 twins, would have like a second bed to sleep 2 people.

“Huge, Oceanside Condo”

My wife and I stayed in the Oceanside condo unit A1 for five nights and four days starting Saturday, 8/23/25, after Hurricane Erin passed by offshore. We loved having a sliding glass door that opened to a very small deck that overlooked the beach and ocean. We loved hearing the ocean and seeing the early morning and late evening beach. We loved that the condo was huge inside with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large, well-equipped kitchen with bar counter, a dining room with table and chairs and a complete living room. Both the master bedroom and living room had wall-mounted flat screen cable TVs and the living room had a CD stereo. We liked having a deck-side elevator for lifting our suitcases. We loved the pool which was large and clean and had a good depth, ranging from about three to five feet. The pool area had a privacy fence around it, plenty of deck furniture and adjustable umbrellas and a clean bathroom. The complex sits comfortably away from the beach road and seems almost park-like with fenced-in cactus garden, pool, children play and outdoor grilling areas and pine tree areas. We liked having free access to the laundry room's three washing and drying machines. We liked the resort's boardwalk-like direct access to the beach and outside showers. We also liked the fact that the management company, Kees, had an on-site office that was open every day except weekends. We also liked the fact that we could see that the property was being maintained by groundskeepers and painters during our stay. Now, I'll mention what could have been better. The biggest issue was interior cleanliness. When we first entered, the coffee maker still had the previous renter's grounds in it. The kitchen stove and floor had a slight greasiness to them. There were some ants around the kitchen counter and bar areas. The master bathroom's A/C vent had a black, mold-like, stain around it, although the vent itself had been newly replaced. Also, the middle of the three washing machines needed repair. Lastly, the master bedroom bed could have been more comfortable and there was a softball-sized stain on the carpet. So, while the condo wasn't perfect, the good outweighed the bad and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In fact, we felt like we could have lived there after we did our own initial cleaning.

The unit was well equipped with dining room furniture and dishes in Unit H1. More than enough for 4 people. There were also plenty of towels which was nice that we didn't have to wash them. The unit was well equipped with dining room furniture and dishes in Unit H1. More than enough for 4 people. There were also plenty of towels which was nice that we didn't have to wash them. The furniture is definitely dated and could use a cleaning. My problem was communication. The paperwork stated the pool was open until 10pm but the sign at the pool stated it closed at sunset and that wasn't the only thing. The laundry was nice with large washers & dryers, but no ventilation so it was very hot & humid in there. Nice that they were free. I have a walking problem, so I never made it to the beach because there are a flight of stairs up & down to the beach. It did have a nice wash off station after going to the beach.

“Summer vacation gone wrong”

To begin...the condo was good. Clean. No problems with appearance or cleanliness. My problem was location and that was not golden strand fault. I booked the room thru a vacation company. To begin...the condo was good. Clean. No problems with appearance or cleanliness. My problem was location and that was not golden strand fault. I booked the room thru a vacation company. Let's call them K. They advertised a room with a view of the beach and surf. When we walked in we had a view of a sandune with sea oats. That's it. No beach or surf view. Actually showed it on the website. Porch with beach and surf view. Call K and complained and was told that nothing could be done. They would compensate after the week stay was finished. Their compensation on a week stay was based on price. I spent over 2000 dollars for a room with a view of the beach. They were going to give me 50 dollars back. I told them to shove it. So watch when you go thru K vacations. You might get what you pay for. I'll never use K vacations again. Keep in mind....I have no complaints about the room or golden strand. It was the vacation company
