“Great staff”

Great experience thanks to the staff. We were greeted with the friendliest front desk employee and maybe "maintenance" guy. They made us feel right at home. The room was huge and we really took advantage of the extra space. We will stay here again!

Front desk staff was kind and I received the normal free club bag upon checking in. Standard king suite, with a fridge and microwave. The room was large, with very high ceilings. There was plenty of lighting, and USB ports beside the bed. There was a desk and a small couch to sit on. The bed was comfortable. Free breakfast with standard IHG offerings, omelets, sausage, biscuits & gravy and cinnamon rolls. There were also 2 digital coffee machines with free coffee. The breakfast area was cool, with a fireplace and floor to ceiling windows. There were plenty of food options, with a Target across the street. The hotel is located right next to Interstate 77. Cons: I didn’t want to use the pool since I was there in business, but there was a note on the door informing you that the pool was closed. I’m starting to wonder if closed pools are standard at IHG hotels. :) The water pressure was decent, but I was a little concerned about the tub faucet as it was very loose and I was concerned I would break it when turning on the shower head. A very small issue, but not huge. The thermostat on the wall was off and didn’t do anything. You had to control heating & cooling from the unit itself. I would stay here again.

When we arrived and checked in we were greeted nicely and we were given a gift bag which had a water and snack in it. The Halloween decorations were great and they even had a pumpkin contest with their employees that we were able to vote on. Highlights: The room was clean. It was right off the interstate & easy to get to. We could hear the traffic but it was not horrible to keep us awake. The room was very spacious. Soap and shampoo were supplied in the shower. Lots of restaurants in the area and a plaza with a Target in it is right across the street. Standard IHG breakfast, the staff was very nice, and the eating area was very clean. The coolest new thing I saw was the Electronic Coffee/Hot water dispenser that had a touch screen, and the plain Hot water actually didn’t taste like coffee. Downfalls: The A/c was pretty loud, there was little to no water pressure or hot water, but the WORST part was the bed. There was a giant indent/hole on the one side, like springs were broken. I had to sleep on a bulky sweatshirt to fill the hole and stop me from rolling into it deeper. I did tell management when I checked out, and I was hoping for some compensation for the horrible night sleep, but it was not offered. Tip: If you are there on a Tuesday go to Jerzee’s Sports Pub around 4 minutes away and you can get a full hamburger meal with fries for $7.99 and they had happy hour for $1 off drinks. The food was really good. Give me a thunbs up if this was helpful !
