The General Manager Jennifer is outstanding. The perfect blend of warmth and professionalism. There were a group of young men hanging out loudly in the courtyard after the pool closed in the evening. She immediately handled it for us. The rooms were clean!

My daughter and I were here meeting cousins for a birthday weekend. We stayed two nights. The room we had on the 2nd floor was near the elevators, overlooking the outdoor pool/hot tub. The A/C was excellent. The room had been partially updated. The bathroom was missing some trim work around the floor with sheet rock exposed. The room was fairly clean with a few soiled spots on the carpet. The room smelled fresh and the bed linens were nice and white. I would’ve liked an extra blanket in the closet but managed without. The beds were comfortable. Our refrigerator worked well but had no freezer. The coffee maker worked well and was a keurig. This is a non smoking hotel but I guess you can’t bar people that have just finished smoking pot elsewhere from “perfuming” the elevator with that stench! Awful odor! There wer a lot of cars in an adjacent parking lot on Saturday night revving engines and screeching tires that went on from 8 pm to well past 11 pm, calling the non emergency Abilene PD put a stop to it within 20 min. We visited the Abilene zoo and the Frontier Texas museum with our party of 14 and were made to feel very welcome in this town.

“Pros and cons”

The staff were super sweet and the breakfast had a lot of choices and it looked yummy. The main issue we had with staying here was that it was so hot. The air would get cold then kick off…but then the heat outside would heat the room up immediately and you would be actually sweating…then the air… lisää

The staff were super sweet and the breakfast had a lot of choices and it looked yummy. The main issue we had with staying here was that it was so hot. The air would get cold then kick off…but then the heat outside would heat the room up immediately and you would be actually sweating…then the air would kick back on to try to fix the temp and it would be freezing. It was this rhythm every night, all night. So we were up and down all night long every night we stayed here. Which was hard because we were working and had to be up at either 4:45 or 5 am every morning. So we all got no sleep the entire time we stayed. Also, the thermostat didn’t have a function to dim the light, so it glowed all night. I could hear people walking above me and you can hear people in the hallways loudly. Thankfully the hotel was only packed the first night we came, so sound wasn’t an issue most of the trip. Another thing to be aware of…you may want to wear socks the whole time you’re in your room. My son spilled ice cream on the tile and I wiped it up with tissue and a wet towell to get the sticky up and when I wiped it across the white tile, the towel turned black. So I’m assuming they aren’t mopping the rooms very often. We also had standing water in our bathroom sink most of the time. I do have to say that the beds and blankets were incredibly comfortable and the shower pressure and temp was amazing also. The hotel is super conveniently located with restaurants literally in the parking lot. So there are many amazing features and some not so amazing. According to your needs for your stay, some of these cons may or may not inconvenience you. We travel constantly and stay in hotels all the time and so I wanted to give a robust review for people like me who read reviews and know what are the deal breakers for their needs for all the different traveling types of senerios.
