“Our favorite Bryan hotel.”

We enjoyed our short stay here. The hotel is bright and clean. The room was fine and we appreciate the way special request were handled. Celeste at the front desk was especially helpful. We will stay here again next time we travel to Bryan to visit family.

This is the newer of two Holiday Inn Express properties in College Station and Bryan. Both hotels are located within about 1.5 miles of each other. This particular hotel is actually in Bryan, not College Station. And the other hotel is actually in College Station, not Bryan.  The hotel was built in 2019 and features one of the more modern design iterations of Holiday Inn Express. Four floors.  The entrance is a tight squeeze for any SUVs or larger cars as there is limited space to loop around.  At check-in, I received zero IHG elite status recognition besides being thanked. No water, no choice of a market item -- nothing. I requested a room on the fourth floor, the top floor. I was assigned a room on the second floor. I asked for a top floor room and was told by the Front Desk that the rooms weren't clean. It was about 3:45 p.m. 45 minutes after the published check-in time. The room itself was okay. Cleanliness could have been better. There were hairs in the walk-in shower. There was also visible mold or mildew along the sliding glass doors. The rest of the room appeared clean. Some of the carpets in hallways were worn and dirty. Otherwise, I didn't see anything else that stood out. Like most Holiday Inn Express properties post-pandemic, only the most basic of amenities are provided. A Keurig coffeemaker, wall-mounted dispensers in the shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner, and then dispensers at the countertop with lotion and hand wash. No bar of soap is provided. No bottled water. All things considered, you will forget ever staying here. There are several comparable hotels around it within the same development. They're all around the same price. The only reason to choose the Holiday Inn Express are IHG loyalty program points and benefits. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to provide an upgrade, which is a defined benefit, and any kind of recognition. If they aren't going to provide what's expected, why stay here?

“Not a good stay”

Room was very dated. The thermostat did not work in the room so room was cool for this time of the year. Was very surprised when we went down for breakfast that they wanted to charge me $12.95 per person . Definitely not to IHG standards that I am used to.
