The Grand Gálvez was such a great place to stay for a business trip. The hotel is clean, beautiful, a great mix of modern and historic, and very close to the beach. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! I took the opportunity to order room service chocolate cake and it was well worth the wait. I wish I could have stayed a lot longer. This hotel makes me want to plan a special return trip to Galveston with my husband.

“Definitely Booking Again”

Staff was great. Food was great. My room was great. The entire was so great, I decided to host our conference at Grand Galvez again next year.

The hotel is beautiful and all that we remembered it was when we stayed there on our honeymoon 48 years ago! It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and all that we remembered it was when we stayed there on our honeymoon 48 years ago! It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. The staff, front desk, bar tenders - in both the lobby bar and the swim up pool bar were awesome! The beach set up and staff were great as well! And be sure to check out the history of the hotel area as it was very informative. But we do question about why the hotel insists on tying up all of the pool loungers - for cabanas that were very pricy - and empty. We saw people come into the area (including families) and do a walk around the pool and see no chairs being available and as such left - and took their wallets with them. This is something the hotel management should address - at least during the week in not the weekends. Sure keep a cabana or two available just in case someone wants to reserve - but release all of the loungers as that would pack the pool and give it the energy to bring people back.

“Relaxing Getaway”

Beautiful hotel, the bar & bartenders were excellent! We had Dirty Martinis & the Steak & Frites cooked to perfection! The pool was nice & relaxing but not a party atmosphere.
