Courtyard Marriott Laredo

“Nice Hotel location kind of iffy.”

Stayed here two nights in mid December. The staff was great, room was clean and overall a pleasant experience. The location isn't the best however, but I didn't have any issues. Located near the border crossing so traffic noise can be an issue.

I have taken a step back from reviewing hotel chains like HGI, or Courtyard, unless there is something noteworthy about the experience/property. I have taken a step back from reviewing hotel chains like HGI, or Courtyard, unless there is something noteworthy about the experience/property. The Courtyard by Marriott Laredo is a noteworthy exception. The staff makes a BIG difference here. To a person, helpful and friendly. The food in the "Bistro" is rather good, given it is not "freshly prepared," and it is nice to have a bar as well. The room was clean and comfortable. Note: the entire hotel is under a complete renovation (scheduled to be done in June 2024). The location is just off I35, yet the highway noise was not intrusive. If you happen to be in Laredo for the two George Washington's Birthday parades, then there is no better location, as both parades start just behind the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a quiet, comfortable stay among some of the nicest staff people anywhere.

“Writing new review because I wanted to edit my last one to 2 stars after the hotel was more accommodating.”

Trip advisor is bugging and not letting me delete my last review but after having a very poor experience here they accommodated and compensated for 2 nights, employees are friendly but everything from my past review unfortunately still is true.
