Isla Grande on the Island is always a good experience.Especially this time as we made the mistake of going through 3rd party which made getting an accesible room more difficult. fortunately "Johnathan" at reception desk did an excellent job of helping as we both are older and could not make the steps easy to room assigned. He madee the extra efort,found us a good room and he was very courteous. Kudos to Management for having such a good employee.

It was a good experience but the room was under whelming and the bed was probably the worst thing about it it was horrible and my back still hurts thinking about it but the place has a nice amenities area and the restaurant was good and the walk to the beach was very accessible

“Beautiful Grounds, Rooms Need Updating”

My husband and I stayed at this resort for 2 nights. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are clean, and nicely designed. The walkway to the beach was nice. My husband and I stayed at this resort for 2 nights. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are clean, and nicely designed. The walkway to the beach was nice. Beach umbrellas and chairs are available to rent. There are plenty of food options at this resort, and we had an adequate breakfast. We had room 218, which offered a partial ocean view from a second floor. There is no elevator to the second floor rooms. The desk clerk was happy to move our room so we could have more privacy, as the rooms on the first floor would have foot traffic near the patio. The ocean front rooms on the first floor do not have a view of the water, as a sand dune is blocking the view. The second floor ocean front rooms do have a view. The carpet in our room sorely needed replaced. It was dirty, wrinkled, and showed much wear. The room had AC, but it felt damp and smelled like a combo of musty and dryer sheets. The shower was nice and spacious with adequate water pressure. The water temp seemed to fluctuate from cool to warm during showers. The sliding glass door to our balcony was hard to lock and get open. The balcony furniture was dated and uncomfortable. The staff seemed friendly, and eager to help. We arrived 2 hours before check in, and we were able to get into our room right away. There is live music in one of the lounges on the weekends, so ask for a room away from that for more peace and quiet. Not an issue in our room. Music was playing near the pools during the day, and could be heard from our balcony, but it was not an issue, either.
