I would like to thank Anaya, Lex,Justin, and River for all the great help that they gave me while I was there at the hotel this week. I had a grueling experience trying to get here from the East Coast. It started off with snow in Maryland. Everything that could go wrong that day did go wrong, but they made my experience even on the first day of my disappointments the most exciting and fun time that I could have possibly asked for. We shared stories and plenty of laughter! The room was not up to my satisfaction and was changed on the next day. I did have issues with the water not getting hot but it was taken care of within the couple of hours that I reported the incident. I atmosphere was great, the room was clean, and very quiet which is what I needed. I enjoyed the food that I had at the Bistro restaurant, thanks to Anaya!! Sometimes when things go wrong. As long as you have great people that are trying to accommodate you, it makes everything better. The problems that you had don't seem so big.

“Terrific Staff”

The staff at this hotel keeps me returning. They are the more caring and helpful I've met and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The staff at this hotel keeps me returning. They are the more caring and helpful I've met and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I especially appreciated Alexis, Gage, Natalie and Dianne. The pool is great but coolish, very clean and large for an indoor hotel pool. The pool area is old and needs help but they haven't been given the budget yet by Marriott to improve it. When the business computer was down I was able to go next door to use the one in the Towne Place (thanks to Holly there). The rooms that overlook the back of Lowe's are the quietest if you don't care about the view, and on the front look at the beautiful mountains but there's a bit of traffic noise. A general complaint of Marriott is they are going toward very soft mattresses which my spine does not appreciate, but that's not a problem specific only to this hotel. Breakfast (you pay) is very good and made to your order and preferences. Starbucks coffee!

“Good Location, Wonderful Staff, Property Needs Updated”

I gave this hotel a good rating because the staff is so great. The location is good with easy access to the freeway. The hotel is in need of repairs yet the housekeeping staff takes pride in their jobs and it is very clean. Overall, I would stay here again.

I was here for a 3-night stay, and I would consider the entire experience average, all things considered. Pros: - The hotel appears to have been renovated in 2014, and our room was clean. - The customer service at the check in desk was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. - The beds were quite comfortable. - Location is walking distance to a shopping center featuring a Target and Barnes and Noble. Cons: - The A/C unit in our room was outdated and inefficient. This was a big disappointment for me as someone who likes to sleep cold. Our A/C was running full blast for the 72 hours we were here and I was still sweating at night because our room was so warm. Not only was the unit weak, it also pointed at the desk rather than the bed. So one tiny corner of the room got nice and cold while the rest of the room (where we slept) stayed quite warm. - The customer service at the bistro/coffee bar lounge was nonexistent. Twice during my stay I went down to order something and could hear and see people in the back kitchen rummaging around or talking, but no one ever came out to assist. Waited 5-10 mins each time before giving up. - The mountain views we were promised at check-in by the very nice employee were entirely blocked by a tree. I didn't hate our stay here, but I would explore other options in Layton if I had to stay here again.
