“Mixed Bag”

We liked this place and would recommend to adults. if traveling with kids for more than a night and It's warmer weather, I would stay at the nearby Ponderosa ranch. This place is very rustic and pretty, close to the park. Cabins have beautiful views and privacy. But could def use a refresh inside.… lisää

This place is very rustic and pretty, close to the park. Cabins have beautiful views and privacy. But could def use a refresh inside. Livingroom furniture is shabby and floors were in terrible condition. Our fridge was broken and froze all the food we brought with us. Coffee maker did not work. Bathrooms were beautiful and bedrooms were nice. The highlight of staying here is the Bison tour w/Kyle who was very nice and we learned alot from him. Also, the 2 hour trail ride w/Christian. Ride was gorgeous and we learned so much from him, he is very knowledgeable. They could not find someone better to take people out. The restaurant is good, very cute. Serv and food are good as well. Had Carmella for a waitress several times we liked her alot. She gave us some great advice for the area etc. Waitresses must tend to the one wood stove they have morning, noon and night. Never been to another place that expects that .I felt bad for them esp in the am.(we ate there alot) Its not for atmosphere its the only heating source, stove looks 200 yrs old and the place is made completely out of wood, gets pretty smokey. Again the staff make this place worth the visit, animals seemed well cared for. Dogs are adorable! Place just needs some attention from upper management or owners.

Review for Humans We traveled from Nevada and entered Zion National Park through the main entrance, which I didn’t even realize you could drive through by car (you do pay the park entrance fee). The drive itself was absolutely spectacular. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than some of the usual hiking routes that require shuttle buses. The ranch appeared shortly after exiting the park and is in the middle of nowhere, so come prepared with food and drinks. The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. We stayed in Cabin 142 with two families (8 people total) and one dog, and there was plenty of space. The layout was perfect: • Two identical king-bed suites with spacious bathrooms for the adults • Upstairs had a cute dorm-style setup with six single beds, which the kids loved The cabin was warm, quiet, and felt like a true retreat. The view was amazing, the king beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The small kitchen was almost fully equipped, and the fridge was a good size. Overall, it was a peaceful, beautiful place, and we really loved the cabin itself. One suggestion: it would be very helpful if the website included floor plans or more detailed room descriptions for each cabin. Review for Pets We travel frequently to Utah and California and usually bring our dog, but unfortunately, this was the worst experience we had. I did not see clear pet policies listed on the cabin description or website. We originally assumed pets were allowed because we got the recommendation from other pet owners, but I called ahead to confirm. Only certain cabins allow pets, so we had to switch cabins. Thankfully, staff were flexible. At check-in, the experience was uncomfortable. The front desk staff immediately asked if I had an animal and handed me a pet policy form. The pet fee was $150 for one night because our cabin had three bedrooms (smaller cabins cost less). This was definitely higher side than any other Airbnb or pet-friendly lodging we’ve stayed at. Then I was told: • Their white ranch dogs may “attack” my dog • My dog could only be walked around our cabin • My dog could not be near the office There was no apology or friendly explanation, and the tone felt unwelcoming. Shortly after, while driving to the cabin at about 5 mph, another staff member stopped me and said I needed to drive slower and more quietly because of horses—which was confusing, since I was already driving extremely slowly. Once we settled in and tried to take our dog out for a bathroom break, two large white ranch dogs were roaming freely around our cabin and barking at our dog. This made it stressful and unclear how we were supposed to manage our pet. It was frustrating to pay such a high pet fee while feeling like our dog wasn’t truly welcome or safe outside. To make matters worse, at checkout we were charged almost $20 more in tax and Zion park fees just on the pet fee, bringing the total to nearly $170 for one dog for one night. The ranch really needs to clearly update their website with detailed pet policies, including the presence of unleashed ranch dogs (they were Great Pyrenees). We absolutely loved the cabin and would love to return. Hopefully, with clearer pet policies and a more welcoming check-in experience, our next stay could be much better. Edit: We interacted with two staff members—one at check-in and one at check-out. The staff member at check-out was very friendly and kind, which almost made me feel bad about complaining. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was not pleasant at all.

“Great Access Point for Park. Amazing Sunset”

Had really high hopes for the ranch. It was great, let down by a very poor night in the restaurant. It was amazing to see the Bison but thought may be a bit more within the grounds. We were staying across the road in the rooms, they were rustic, little bit cold (but to be expected), people were very friendly and it is a great access point to the park. Shame the restaurant didn;t manage ot get us any food after 90 minutes.

“Peaceful Zion Retreat — Loved the Bison Views”

We’ve stayed here several times, and it continues to be our favorite place when visiting Zion! This trip, we stayed in Cabin 121. We’ve stayed here several times, and it continues to be our favorite place when visiting Zion! This trip, we stayed in Cabin 121. The access from the vehicle to the cabin was a bit challenging…my mom uses a walker, and it took us a while to get her situated. The views from this cabin face the bison field and lobby area, but don’t include the stunning mountain backdrop you’ll find from other units. The furniture is a bit outdated and could use a deeper cleaning; I even looked for a blanket to cover the chairs but couldn’t find any extras. There’s a standard coffee maker (no Keurig) and no wine glasses or tumblers—small touches that make a stay at this price point feel more special. That said, I still absolutely adore this place. Watching the bison roam and taking in the gorgeous night sky was a peaceful highlight of our trip. If you have the option, I highly recommend Cabin 148..the view there is phenomenal!
