Although this hotel may not be a 5-star establishment, I’m giving it a full five stars because it meets all my expectations. It’s clean, comfortable, and offers ample parking, along with friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is new, with spacious rooms that include a decent-sized kitchen featuring a large fridge and full-sized freezer. As someone who is quite particular about accommodations, I find this hotel to be excellent, typically at a reasonable price. While the mattress and pillows could be improved, they are still acceptable. I’ve noticed that sometimes the clientele can be a bit less than desirable. On one occasion, a sports team of teenage boys was running up and down the hallways, slamming doors and acting like a bunch of jack@sses. When I approached some of the parents in the lobby, they shrugged it off, saying, “They are just teenage boys.” I responded, “My dog behaves better than your children!” If my dog needs to burn off some energy, I take him outside to run around so I don’t disturb other hotel guests. Afterward, I called the front desk, who confirmed they saw the kids on camera. Within a couple of minutes, the noise subsided. The breakfast waffles are consistently delicious, and with two waffle irons, there’s usually minimal wait time. If you’re lucky enough to be there on a day with cornbread biscuits, you may never want to leave! There’s a Starbucks next door and several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. Plus, the adjacent park along the canal is now open and beautifully lit, perfect for a relaxing evening stroll.

The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable after a 6 hour drive. Having a couch and the kitchen was just what we needed. Paige was our hostess and checked us in. The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable after a 6 hour drive. Having a couch and the kitchen was just what we needed. Paige was our hostess and checked us in. Her welcoming smile when we arrived was a gift to 2 very weary travelers. Each time we came into the reception area, she greeted us and made us feel as if we were truly someone welcome there. I want to personally thank her for ensuring that we will use Home2 every visit to our daughter in Maine.

“Great experience and place to stay while on business”

This is a nice hotel. Everything was clean and appeared new. My colleagues and I were especially impressed with the breakfast selection. The attendant, Tasha, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She deserves a special recognition.

If children are found running or playing in the hallways, you will be asked to leave the property.” These paper signs were everywhere. In the elevators, on all floors, on the ice machine. Clearly they have problems at this motel. We found out the motel is a regular stop for youth hockey teams. How thrilling… If only we were warned before we stayed there. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a five-night stay. We had no general issues with the cleanliness of the lobby area or our room. Those areas were clean and well maintained. The carpets in the hallways were disgusting. You could tell that they had been cleaned, but the stains were so deep, there was no hiding them. At the end of our hallway, we actually saw a large pile of new carpet tiles so obviously they are going to do a big replacement. Definitely needed. We checked into our room and unpacked. We left to visit family for a few hours, then went out for dinner. When we got back to the motel around 9:30pm, there was a group of kids (around high school age) running around in the parking lot screaming and goofing around. We walked into the lobby to find around 75 people (kids and adults) having a pizza party. It was tremendously smelly and noisy. We went up to our room and got ready for bed. I cannot express how miserable the noise was in our room. We were on the third floor of four. It sounded like there were elephants playing hockey in the room above us. We waited around 45 minutes, then called the front desk. The young man working went up to get them to be quiet. He followed up with us by stopping by our room to chat. He apologized and offered to go back up if the noise continued. It did, just not as loudly or as frequently as earlier. We didn’t bother to call him back, and just suffered in the noise until 12:15am, when it finally stopped. The hockey teams checked out of the hotel on Sunday, the next day. Thank goodness. If we had one more night, we would have found another place to stay.
