the room is pretty nice and the people working here are polite, was a little bumed to see they arent doing breakfest anymore but overall its nice and cozy plus the bathroom is extremly clean the tvs nice ut the internet can be slow some times. still over all its a decent place to stay

The Econolodge is in an old building that has seen better days. It has sagged and shifted, so floors are out of level and Choice Hotels has had to work hard to keep it nice. But Jay and his family, who manage the place, have made it their priority to make the best of what they have to deal with. The result is very spacious and comfortable clean rooms, a very friendly and accommodating staff, and a better than average continental breakfast, with scrambled and hard boiled eggs and sausage, cereals, bagels, muffins, toast and jelly, instant oatmeal, juice, and coffee. They have fruits as well, and like just about any motel we have stayed at, don't have much for gluten free folks - so hard boiled eggs, coffee and bananas at least makes it so you don't starve. Jay and his family work hard at keeping the place nice, and the price is way better than anywhere else around town. We go to Montpelier every January for a weekend music festival and stay at the Econolodge, and will do so again next year.

“Clean and Reasonably priced ”

We were not sure what to expect after reading the reviews, but this place surprisingly alright. It’s older and some outdated, but very clean. We were not sure what to expect after reading the reviews, but this place surprisingly alright. It’s older and some outdated, but very clean. We even were pleased with the bathroom because it had a separate counter to use. This made up for no counter near the little sink. It worked well having 2 people doing their makeup at each mirror. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is no elevator to go to the 2nd floor, so they offered to carry our heavy suitcase up for us. So nice! The continental breakfast was the basics, coffee, juice, Belgian waffle machine, bagels, toaster, cereal, and few rolls etc. This place provided and did the job that we needed, a place to spend the night safely and comfortably.
