“Great accomadations and location”

Room, staff, complimentary breakfast and happy hour - all great. So convenient - across the street from the King Street Metro Station - where we took the Metro into downtown Washington DC and back on 3 different days.

This hotel had everything we needed with the connecting room suites and the free breakfast. We really enjoyed staying here and it was very quiet in our rooms. We had room son the 5th floor with the back facing the side so we had a quiet v courtyard area of the buildings surrounding the hotel that we heard no traffic and the door to close for the room prevented us from hearing the lobby area when sleeping. Easy access to the bus and trolley which is right across the street. Parking is a little tight as garage has tight spaces but we also ways managed ti get a good spot. The hotel was under going some renovations but they did. It impact our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in old town Alexandria with kids. It is even across the street to a Whole Foods!

“Great hotel, will be lovely when it is finished!”

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2026 whilst visiting Washington DC. The hotel itself is excellently located for the Metro and only took about 20 mins to get into DC. We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2026 whilst visiting Washington DC. The hotel itself is excellently located for the Metro and only took about 20 mins to get into DC. The staff are excellent and are so helpful and welcoming. The bar tender at the complimentary evening reception was great and made our stay. Unfortunately, the reception, bar area and lobby are being fully refurbished with noise constantly from about 8am to 5pm. This was not notified to us when we booked. I am sure it will be lovely when it is finished but did distract from the overall stay. The rooms themselves are large but a little dated. Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring DC as a family.

This should be a 5 star review as our stay was very nice, and we found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast each morning, the evening reception each night, and the location being near the metro was great. However, we have had an issue getting an electronic device my daughter left at the hotel back. I am not saying it is not her fault, as she should have been more responsible, but when we realized the electronic device was left I immediately called the hotel. The person I talked to sent me to the voice mail to report the missing item. Someone from housekeeping/lost and found called me back and reported they had found the electronic device, in the room I said it was left in on the date I stated it was left. The person was on speaker phone as I was driving so my daughter heard her device has been found and was super excited. The issue, to get it back I had to fill out a lost item report on a third party site. When I got home I immediately went to this site to report the item, gave them all the details I could (even the site says to contact the hotel first). Now it has been over a week and I keep getting emails that they are searching for the item, they need more details to return the item, well I don't know the serial number as who keeps up with on a child's electronic device. Not sure what is going on or if we'll ever get the device back. I am more than willing to pay for it to be returned to us, even told the lady on the phone that, but she said I had to go through this website to get it back. Its a shame as it has put a damper on what was a great stay and made for a very frustrating situation. If we are able to get the device back, I will update this review to what reflect the over experience we had at this hotel.
