Cannot brag enough about this hotel! Not only was it beautiful, but the rooms were spacious, and the customer service was out of this world! From the moment I got there, I was greeted with the warmest welcome by Lola. She was as friendly as could be and helped me find a place for dinner. The next morning, Adriana was just as great! Same warm greeting and helped me find a local coffee shop. Incredible stay!

Every step of my experience has been so wonderful. The staff were friendly, very accommodating, and helpful. I called ahead of time to request if I could check in early for a wedding and they tried to the best of their abilities to make it happen! During check in I had told them I had hit some bumps in my journey anr they were so welcoming and patient with me. SUCH a beautiful hotel and my room was absolutely perfect - super cozy, bathroom was flawless, little touches like a tiny Christmas tree made it very homey. The complimentary breakfast in the wooden shoebox was absolutely adorable and one of the highlights of my stay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

“Beautiful family wedding weekend”

We stayed here for a family wedding and the entire experience was amazing. The hotel it self has a ton of character, the rooms are big, the beds are comfy. We stayed here for a family wedding and the entire experience was amazing. The hotel it self has a ton of character, the rooms are big, the beds are comfy. The hotel staff are great and actually still get your rooms cleaned which seems to be a thing disappearing at bigger hotels. The event spaces were gorgeous as well. Because the hotel is on the smaller side, it felt like our family had the whole place to ourselves.

“Delightful but freezing bathroom”

The only reason I downgraded our stay was because the bathroom with the shower and stool was freezing cold! The weather in Lynchburg was cold and windy but they do have winters so the hotel heat comfort levels I’m sure are adjusted accordingly. Our bathroom was large and beautiful with tile floors… lisää

The only reason I downgraded our stay was because the bathroom with the shower and stool was freezing cold! The weather in Lynchburg was cold and windy but they do have winters so the hotel heat comfort levels I’m sure are adjusted accordingly. Our bathroom was large and beautiful with tile floors but had no heat inside the room. With the large windows of the hotel letting cold air in, the experience was not a pleasant one. I put towels across the floor to keep my feet from contacting the cold tiles. And you did your business quickly and got out. When checking out, I asked why there was no heat vents in the bathroom and the young woman at reception said there was heat in our room which heated the bathrooms. I said that heat did not reach the bathroom and she only repeated what she said before. I believe the proper customer service answer should have been, “Im sorry for your inconvenience. I wish you would have let us know and we could have brought up a space heater” , or “I’m sorry for your inconvenience. We have had others mention this situation and we are working on a remedy”. But there no empathy or apology for her guest. I do see stand the challenges of this old historic building with the high ceilings and huge windows that leak air, but comfort still needs to be addressed. Everything else was delightful. The woman at checkin was very thorough and when asking for dinner suggestions, both the woman cleaning the reception area and the front desk were helpful. The theme of the historic shoe factory was fun. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the unique way of serving our Continental breakfast - in an old wooden shoe shine box - was fun!
