“Wonderful getaway with our dog”

We had a wonderful two nights at the lighthouse suites hotel. It was the perfect place to stay with our dog. The breakfast was great and the pool and Jacuzzi were very nice at night time. We had a wonderful two nights at the lighthouse suites hotel. It was the perfect place to stay with our dog. The breakfast was great and the pool and Jacuzzi were very nice at night time. The room was perfect for a dog. We were on the first floor with a sliding door leading out to a grassy area for the dog. We were very close to the shore and a short drive to the city center. As far as other reviews I have read; we didn't encounter any of the negative things a few people wrote about. The only negative I can come up with is the gym equipment did not work which is one of the reasons I picked this hotel. I imagine that might not even be a factor for most people heading to the ocean.

“Wonderful Stay!”

I 2nd guessed my reservation due to some recent reviews, but I'm so glad I didn't. This hotel was amazing! The location and views were terrific. Room was huge and very clean. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

I have never stayed in the area before and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It had a good free breakfast buffet, the staff was friendly and the pool was clean. The nearby Irish pub had great food and the nearby beach was a wonderful way to spend some quiet time.

“One grab bar does not make a room accessible…”

Basically the room was large, clean and comfortable. There were amenities as expected. For normal people, it would be a 5 rating. I did find the room darker after sunset than it should be. The staff were friendly and helpful. The maintenance man was especially helpful. Breakfast had a lot of choice… lisää

Basically the room was large, clean and comfortable. There were amenities as expected. For normal people, it would be a 5 rating. I did find the room darker after sunset than it should be. The staff were friendly and helpful. The maintenance man was especially helpful. Breakfast had a lot of choices and someone was on hand to assist. The TV had more shows to watch than we usually find, but do NOT try to turn the TV toward the bed to watch it. The cable comes loose and the bureau is heavy to move to fix it. However, the room was an accessible room. My hubby can walk slowly with a walker but also has to use a wheelchair. The room was almost as far away from the elevator as it can be. The sofa was low and difficult for him to get out of so he couldn’t relax in it. The bathroom was really small to try to accommodate either the walker or the wheelchair. There was only a grab bar on the wall by the tub. It would have helped if one was by the toilet. They had a bench for the shower so he was able to shower but there was no hand held shower sprayer so he had to turn on and off the shower to soap up and rinse off. I will have to look for an accessible room elsewhere and hope it is more accommodating if we come back this way again.
