“Good budget hotel”

Very typical Holiday Inn Express, older budget hotei in good location. Autums leaves in surrounding area were stunning! The breakfast buffet has a good variety or hot and cold food and decent coffee for a budget place. Wifi was ok, a bit weak at times.

I want to lead off with this lest it get lost in the rest of the review. The "incidentals" hold on the credit card was extraordinarily high. At this location it was $150.00!!! All other locations are generally $15-$20. I could maybe understand this under certain circumstances but I frequently stay… lisää

I want to lead off with this lest it get lost in the rest of the review. The "incidentals" hold on the credit card was extraordinarily high. At this location it was $150.00!!! All other locations are generally $15-$20. I could maybe understand this under certain circumstances but I frequently stay at HIE properties and am a Platinum Elite member. The front desk clerk assured me that it would be credited back upon checkout but two days later it has not been credited. The location was being remodeled when I was there. All the snack vending machines were completely empty assumedly because they are adding one of their little snack pantries. It would have been nice to have the machines available still until it is completed though. The space where it appeared that it will be located was nowhere near completion so it didn't make any sense that all the vending machines would be empty. A couple of the beverage machines were still working but not on every floor.

Stayed here for 1 night for business. It is an older hotel that feels like it’s starting to show it’s age. And it makes a loud dinging sound on each stop, so if you are in a room near the elevator, you can hear it from your room Overall hotel feel is old and could use a renovation. Breakfast was free but food did not taste particularly good. Bananas were unripened too (too green to even eat)
