Booked this hotel on a family visit to Milwaukee, it seemed to be reasonable and we could book 2 rooms next to each other with an access door. The rooms themselves seemed nice enough inside, and the hotel has most of the amenities you might expect. However - the carpets in the hallways definitely had seen better times. The elevator was disturbingly clunky. And although both of our rooms had Keurig coffee makers, it turned out neither of them actually worked! The power would go on, but shortly after that would turn off on it's own, no coffee having been brewed. The nook with the coffee maker and microwave and fridge was in both rooms poorly lit and painted in dark colors, which made things more difficult. We did get free coffee from the machines in the lobby, but these sometimes run out, as we discovered. The big problem was the shower in one of the rooms - it simply did not work. This was not discovered, of course, until very early in the morning when we wanted to take showers. We managed by having everyone use the other room's shower. Brought the issues to the attention of the receptionist, who managed to talk to the manager to get us a discount. The receptionist's take on this was that the powers that be, who own the hotel, were skimping on the sort of every day things needed to keep it running - either not employing enough help, or not being willing to spend money to fix things. This seemed to ring true - the employees at the hotel seemed friendly enough. The free breakfast was better than I had expected it to be. And the beds, thankfully, seemed very comfortable. The owners of the hotel need to step it up, bite the bullet, and invest in the place. We booked the hotel because we've had good experiences with Holiday Inn in the past, so having multiple problems seemed to us a bit unusual.

“Needs Updating and deep cleaning”

This was an ok hotel. It needs a good deep cleaning and to be updated. The staff were friendly especially TT the breakfast cook. It is right next to the freeway and that noise was annoying. The parking lot is small and crowded. Our bathroom was updated but the carpet in the room was very dirty. Goo… lisää

This was an ok hotel. It needs a good deep cleaning and to be updated. The staff were friendly especially TT the breakfast cook. It is right next to the freeway and that noise was annoying. The parking lot is small and crowded. Our bathroom was updated but the carpet in the room was very dirty. Good water pressure in the shower but the towels were dingy and not soft. There was a big gap around the door so no need for the nightlight. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. The WI-FI was awful and we used our phones as hot spots so we could have good internet. In hindsight site I would pay more to stay in a better hotel.

Stayed 2 nights and generally good. The location of the hotel was excellent for our purposes: right next to the Interstate with several restaurants close by. Stayed 2 nights and generally good. The location of the hotel was excellent for our purposes: right next to the Interstate with several restaurants close by. Breakfast was sufficiently varied as well as tasty. Staff in the kitchen area were really nice, helpful, and friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable, good sleep quality. We had an issue with the cleanliness of the bathroom area, as there was trash on the floor behind the trash can and the tub looked like it was either not totally clean or needed to be reglazed. We often stay at Holiday Inns or HI Express, and this is the first time we have had this type of issue. When we addressed our issue to the management, they were very apologetic and assured us it would be addressed. Returning to the room after spending the day in the Milwaukee area, we were pleased to note that the room did appear to have been cleaned more thoroughly, but the first impression was difficult to overcome.
