Picked this hotel for a family visit to WI because of location and the fitness room. Conveniently located off the freeway and a quick 20 minute drive from the airport. Picked this hotel for a family visit to WI because of location and the fitness room. Conveniently located off the freeway and a quick 20 minute drive from the airport. We had a king river view room which was spacious and had a very chilly fridge. It was also pretty quiet though admittedly I sleep with ear plugs. The hotel is definitely dated and needs an upgrade. Pillows and bed were reasonably comfortable but the bathroom was old and cramped with terrible water pressure. Though I do like the Dove bathroom amenities. Even though we had a view of the river, the windows were so dirty and there were cobwebs so you really didn’t want to look outside. No blackout shades either which really wasn’t a problem for us since we had to get up early for family events so sunrise waking us up wasn’t a problem. I specifically emailed the hotel about the functionality of the fitness equipment. No response. For those interested, the two ellipticals worked but not the treadmills and the recumbent bike needs some attention. The fitness room is also a bit warm. The pool area also needs some attention. Pool deck is worn out. We had time on our departure day to use the whirlpool but there were no pool towels and had to grab sweat towels from the fitness room. And there was sand in the whirlpool- how? Who knows. Interaction with the staff was limited so can’t comment on that aspect. Location is close to a great German beer hall and a Dairy Queen (which we don’t have in NYC anymore) so I liked that. Don’t see myself needing accommodation again in this area and not sure I would recommend.

Great desk staff - just ok hotel. The rooms are old and worn out. The bathtub was pealing, the mirror cracked, the AC unit was missing pieces. The breakfast is pricey and the waiter struggled with English, but very nice. The hotel could be nice just needs an update if you’re charging the prices yo… lisää
