“Areal gem”
Really lovely hotel. Beautiful building with history, being excellently updated. Our room was superb, comfortable, clean and tasteful. The staff were lovely too, couldn't have been more helpful, recommended going to see the penguins although so late in the season only one seen. The adjacent restaur… lisää

“Excellent”

“A grand old building receiving some renovation, but more is needed.”
From the outside the Grosvenor is a wonderful old heritage building, stately and imposing. However, the reception area needs an uplift as it does not feel welcoming and the carpet heading upstairs is quite worn. The ancient lift is very quirky and fun to use but could benefit from some redecoration… lisää

“Much better than expected.”
We were a bit worried about staying here after reading previous reviews and when we rocked up the outside did not look very inviting. “Is everything ok with the staff in restaurant?”
Usually absolutely amazing service and friendly. We were all perplexed 🤔 that the dark haired young lady was ok? She was not the same bubbly lady that makes us love choosing this pub. Off hand and we were generally concerned that everything is ok?
