Just stayed here for 4 nights honestly the best motel in NZ we have stayed in. Not exaggerating. Just stayed here for 4 nights honestly the best motel in NZ we have stayed in. Not exaggerating. It’s modern and has everything I have always hoped to find in a motel unit when staying a few days - an oven, a single dish drawer, a spacious separate bedroom, double glazed windows, a full size fridge ….. and a double spa bath!!!! All units have them! Depends on the unit you choose of course!! We are in PN every month. We will be staying again if you hadn’t worked that out! I didn’t mention the Owner / Manager - Ruby. Really impressed with her and the place she’s running plus the cleaners were excellent. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a fantastic motor inn and motel in Palmerston North. I stayed here for 6 nights in late November 2024. The first three nights were for a work conference and the second lot of three nights were a Sunday and few days of annual leave that I spent to catch up with friends who live locally, or were visiting at the same time. A relatively new motel, it had many features normally associated with boutique hotels, especially the massive, luxurious spa bath, which was the size of a small spa pool, but with clean water that could be filled and emptied like a regular bathtub. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm and there was a multi channel TV, including major streaming services. There were also good quality sofas and chairs. The room had a small kitchenette which could be used to make basic meals, including breakfast. There's self-service laundry available, which was handy given the length of my stay. Palmerston North is quite spread out, and distances seem longer than they are, but this motel was an easy 20-25 minute walk to The Square and nearby shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. There are also frequent buses running along Fitzherbert Avenue, including one direct to and from the airport for a good price (NZ$2 if you have a BeeCard, only slightly more if paying cash, at time of travel in November 2024). Most guests here appeared to have a car (I didn't), with the drive into the Square only around 5 minutes, if that. The motel is well located for connections to Massey University, which is where the conference I participated in was held. The owner/manager was great, really helpful and welcoming as were the staff. City Corporate Motor Inn is well recommended for both short and long stays. I would definitely stay again.

“Comfortable with helpful host”

Stayed 3 nights, while visiting our daughter who lives down the road while studying. She recommended it as had stayed in the past when working, and her ex-boss who is a friend of ours always booked this for his staff. Stayed 3 nights, while visiting our daughter who lives down the road while studying. She recommended it as had stayed in the past when working, and her ex-boss who is a friend of ours always booked this for his staff. We had a one bedroomed unit as I was having a visitor I had never met also and wanted the privacy of the bedroom being separate. Warm and comfortable room with electric blankets and heat pump. I had a little trouble with the huge spa bath as had not filled quite high enough- there is a tiny stainless steel button which needs to be covered. Next time! The owner John was so kind, incredibly helpful letting me do some washing and even moving it to the drier for me while I was busy with the visitor. They also serviced the room beautifully. Convenient location within easy reach of both the city centre and the river/park. I would stay again.

“Fabulous place for a business layover.”

Fabulous place for a business stay. The rooms are fresh and incredibly well-equipped. Breakfast served to your room was really lovely too. Hosts are helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend this City Corporate Motor Inn over anywhere I have stayed in Palmerston North.
