“Great place to stay and extremely helpful owner.”
The location is central to everything in Franz Josef Glacier. We had a king studio that had a kitchenette and a really good room layout with a table and a built in desk. “Perfect for what we wanted.”
2 night stay on touring journey. Perfect for what we wanted - no frills, but clean, comfortable and perfect base - close to the centre of the town (5 minute walk), but far enough away not to be bothered by any of the hustle & bustle. “Great service”
Jim the owner was super helpful providing 5 rooms at short notice after our group of friends were let down by Hari Hari hotel shutting without notice. Bella Vista is very central, clean, comfortable, and we had an amazing view of the mountains. Great base for exploring.

“JUst What We Needed”
Lovely little motel that suited our needs. Bella Vista motels are all very similar where ever you are in NZ. We spent little time in our room as we were visiting our son so just needed a bed and bathroom faciites which most motels anywhere provide! Great location very close to all parts of the vill… lisää

“Helpful staff but no frills”
When in Franz Josef you have plans of things to do - glacier flights or hikes, so the hotel really just needs to be functional and this one fitted that bill. The room came fitted with a small kitchen area but no real space to eat your food in. There was satellite TV but no safe. The shower was adeq… lisää
