We had a wonderful 3 night stay here in November 2025. The staff were welcoming, kind, and spoke excellent English. Our room was large, beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, and the had both windows which opened and functioning (albeit noisy) AC (we burn hot all year round). Breakfast was generous and very good. Ample tea and coffee available, as well as eggs, meat, fruit, yogurt, local pastries, vegetables. Water is generously provided whenever you want it. The ladies who manage the breakfast do an excellent job. The location, inside the old city, is fantastic. Recommend most highly

“Excellent choice in Khiva”

We liked this hotel because of it's location, on a short walking distance from restaurants and most of the touristical attractions inside the inner city, where you can easily feel yourself back in the ancient times. The car can go until the door, so walking with the luggage isn't a problem. The rec… lisää

We liked this hotel because of it's location, on a short walking distance from restaurants and most of the touristical attractions inside the inner city, where you can easily feel yourself back in the ancient times. The car can go until the door, so walking with the luggage isn't a problem. The reception is friendly, our room and bathroom were spacious, the bed very comfortable... we had a very nice stay. The laundry service worked very well, with good prices. The breakfast is very good, but it's served in a closed place while the rooftop was not being used. Maybe they could think about serving the breakfast in the rooftop, or using it at night at least. The view from there is spectacular.

“Great experience in Khiva”

Stayed for three nights during the off-season (very very hot). Very impressed with the staff who seemingly worked 20 hours a day. The rooms were great - spacious and had absolutely everything you needed - and the staff took great care of us. Thank you very much!

The Hotel Arkanchi in Khiva was very communicative from the start; they arranged a pick-up from the train station and they accommodated an early check-in for us that was quick and easy. The Hotel Arkanchi in Khiva was very communicative from the start; they arranged a pick-up from the train station and they accommodated an early check-in for us that was quick and easy. They set up a local walking tour guide and she was VERY informative and entertaining too. The location is right near all the walking spots & interesting attractions and shops and yet we were surprised a how quiet the area was. The shower had great water pressure (important to my wife) and the beds were comfortable and soft with good pillows, 2 for each person which is a nice touch! The breakfast buffet is varied; eggs, potatoes, meat and oatmeal all warmed, along with numerous salads, a variety of cut fruit, cold cuts of meat, bread, and pastries. The rooftop terrace is VERY nice, but there was no midday shade, but that didn't matter as we used for sunrise and sunset, twice! Watching the sunrise is a real treat!
