“Comfortable and culturally interesting”
I had a 1-bedroom apartment to myself. There were to be 2 of us but my friend pulled out at the last minute. The hotel had set up a second bed for him in the spacious living area at no extra charge. “All the Comforts of Home at the Melanesian”
We were thankful to be able to stay at the Melanesian for one night after our stay at another resort was cancelled. “Melanesian Hotel - nice, clean and friendly.”
A great budget friendly place to stay. I stayed one night as I had a layover in Port Vila. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and tidy and comfy beds. Good breakfast. Airport transfer was organised and on time.

“Basic. Breakfast need major upgrade.”
The hotel is very closr to the Port Vila CBD - VT150 on the minivans and 7mins by foot. It is a fairly basic accommodation. The room I stayed in with 2 beds was spacious, with all the basic amenities. The open option to have your room cleaned daily if you want it was a good one. Some hotels overdo … lisää

“Good Budget stayover”
It is rated as 3 star - but no where close to that. The Bathroom definitely needs improvement and the room does not even have any complimentary water (how did it get rated 3 star???) But you buy it at reception some budget hotels would provide. And the wifi on a daily voucher is a nightmare- claim… lisää
