A great place to stay, nice room, nice hotel, great view. Clean, luminous, friendly, great colour and decoration combination inside, good house keeping, well insulated spaces. But...the breakfast is really bad - I mean all meal taste. Forget the coffee, the worst part. Staff forgot the smile and to be human, kind and gentle - as if you're meeting some prison guards...well, this apart, a nice place to stay in some beautiful town, not far from all commodities.

Hello, My husband and I stayed there with a group of friends on a mission. We enjoyed that the Volga Hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants and great sights.The rooms were adequate in size and ours was clean. The view was tremendous! We arrived in the evening after a long day of traveling and the view was the first thing we saw that allowed us to take a minute to breathe and enjoy where we were. The breakfast buffet, was awful. It was always running out of food. The staff seemed to be working very hard. I think they need to hire someone who knows how to run a kitchen. We were able to enjoy the local nightlife as there was a bar upstairs with dancing. Our group enjoyed this and danced and enjoyed some Russian vodka at the hotel. It was great, the staff was very nice and helpful.

“A soviet experience in Kostroma”

If you'd like to have a soviet experience, stay at this hotel. It's a very big building plenty of rooms. There are some rooms that were updated and look better. We stayed here just for one night. Our room was very big with a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony. All decorated as in sovi… lisää

If you'd like to have a soviet experience, stay at this hotel. It's a very big building plenty of rooms. There are some rooms that were updated and look better. We stayed here just for one night. Our room was very big with a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony. All decorated as in soviet times. The bed was very comfortable. There's a big restaurant to have breakfast but it was plenty at the time we decided to eat and there aren't many options. It's not very near of the main attractions but you can take the bus just round the corner. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the neighbourhood.
