The hotel is not bad, a preserved time capsule from the 90’s. No similarities to the large chain Western standards, but gives an interesting insight on how the hotel business Russian way worked. And still works. And it’s cheap!

The site is in Russian but you book the room via email or fax. Clean rooms, brakfast is included - you can choose between 5 dishes, juice or team/coffee are included. Hotel has a swimming pool, saunas, whih we did not have time to visit though. Hotel is a 5 minute wakl away from the tram station. Time to city center - 15 minutes by public transportation.

Found the staff friendly, bar varies from cheaper beer to expensive. Average beer around 2 dollars, just make sure to ask about prices. It can run up to $4.50 a beer. Small wine 3 dollars. Food typical Russian. Do not expect gourmet food for Vizit prices. Hotel is out of the way. Three blocks will take you to main drag with trams and buses. Walking distance to MIG factory. All of Russia changed smoking policies in June 1, 2014, so hotel had to abide. Hotel does take dogs, which we needed to have. Some rooms are not air conditioned. There is a Banya and pool attached, but other guests said although it may be attached to the hotel, it requires fees to use. Hot water usually comes out brownish. Don't expect Radisson/Hilton accommodations. No elevator. Water cooler (with cold/hot) available in bar area 24/7. Bought coffee cup and instant coffee for when bar was closed.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel, with friends. We were there for the wedding of one of our friends (dinner took place in the hotel). The rooms are okayish although some people had problems with their showers. It seems we did not have hot water during the night. It's quite cheap but a bit remote (you have to walk 20-25 mins to get to the first restaurants / bars). The restaurant is okay. Average Russian hotel but I guess there are better deals closer to the city center.
