Hotel Kolvi is not far to the center of Kazan. It takes 10 - 15 minutes by walk. The hotel is difficult for finding, especially by the car. Area around the hotel is not very kind attractive. Hotel Kolvi is not far to the center of Kazan. It takes 10 - 15 minutes by walk. The hotel is difficult for finding, especially by the car. Area around the hotel is not very kind attractive. There is a big car-parking at the hotel. Room is big and clear, well equipped. A bathroom is pure. Staff is helpfull. Breakfast is not wide range, but not bad. It is good choice for business trip.

Reviewer - a tourist, visting friends in Kazan Kolvi was clean and a nice place to stay. There was filtered (bottled) cold water readily available. Hot water for tea was also available. They promptly fixed a couple minor problems. The building is like a beautiful Oasis in the midst of City with some not very beautiful parts. We felt safe, but some former neighbors did not clean up the mess when they abandoned their builidings. The Kolvi is 2 blocks from a major street with lots of public transit, restaurants, and grocery stores. A short walk, but far enough away to be quiet. The City's central market is a few blocks in the the other direction. Very convenient location. The English language ability of the staff at the desk varied with time or day, but was always rather limited. Our translator helped us ask for a 5:00 AM van to the airport, and they did very well with that request. The breakfast was non-traditional (sandwich or pizza), which tasted fine. Most days we bought breakfast food from a nearby grocery store, and kept it in the in-room fridge.

Rooms are clean, location is good (walking distance from all Kazan's main attractions), the hotel is situated in a secondary street, perhaps a bit crumbling and dark in the night, but definetly quiet and silent. Rooms are clean, location is good (walking distance from all Kazan's main attractions), the hotel is situated in a secondary street, perhaps a bit crumbling and dark in the night, but definetly quiet and silent. Did not try the sauna, the breakfast could be better but is still acceptable. There is no lift, so if you have heavy luggage can be a pain. General opinion is positive, I would recommend it for the good relation price/quality.

“in the middle of nowhere”

+ nice spacious rooms (studio) with a bathtub + sauna - hotel itself is more like a sauna with rooms :) - location is far from centre, not a very nice area We moved to another hotel 2 hours after check-in.
