I've found my new 'happy place'. This last summer we spent a week at the Woolfwood Guest Ranch with family, and all I can say is wow. What a much needed soul restoring getaway. The setting is exceptional. It has to be experienced. From cozy nights around the firepit, to watching the mist roll over the lake at sunrise, this truly is a magical place. We stayed in Alder lodge, and it was just how I imagined. The mix of old embracing new, made this old settlers lodge both a unique AND comfortable stay. The decor was so well done. Every where we looked there was something new to discover. The kids loved it. Our favorite part was the lake a short walk from our cabin. After a hot day exploring the local waterfalls and hiking, coming 'home' for a refreshing dip was exactly the medicine our tired muscles needed. The food was delicious, with something for everyone. We got quite used to having breakfast delivered to our door each day, and sure missed that when we came home! Dinner was also delicious. The salmon melted in your mouth. The hosts are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Their children were polite and loved to share what they knew about their land and their life. We loved getting to interact with their friendly pets as well. You really do end up feeling part of the family. Clearwater is such a gorgeous place to explore. Within a short drive of the ranch are world class waterfalls, excellent lakes for fishing and kayaking. We will definitely be returning to spend more time at the Wolfwood Guest Ranch as soon as we can! “A must for getting away from it all”

Lovely cabin, we were in the 2 bedroom it was huge very comfortable, the location is extremely quiet lovely grounds to walk around and explore. Lovely cabin, we were in the 2 bedroom it was huge very comfortable, the location is extremely quiet lovely grounds to walk around and explore. Lovely owners, great service both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Great for exploring Wells Gray Park, we wish we had booked 2 nights but I had our whole trip planned and could not change it. I would 100% recommend Wolf wood for getting away from it all.

A lovely family run guest ranch where we enjoyed a few days near Clearwater. We can't recommend this place highly enough for somewhere to enjoy the beauty of Wells Gray National Park. From the wonderful welcome we had, to the beautiful cabins, with the little touches which make such a difference, including hand-knitted slipper/moccasins, deep fluffy towels (and thank-you for lending us the beach towels for taking white water rafting as we had lost ours earlier in the holiday!), filtered water, delicious tea (lots of choices), coffee and hot chocolate options, the comfortable reclining chairs outside where you could sit and watch the hummingbirds fly in and out to feed and the friendly dogs and happy chickens roaming nearby.... The cabins never felt too hot, even when it was really hot outside, with high ceilings and fans, and we really relaxed here. The teenagers loved being able to kayak whenever they liked on the lake, which was a perfect temperature to swim in. The cooked breakfasts that came to our cabin every morning were all delicious, and so was the dinner we had - pacific salmon / delicious pasta. It's a perfect location to stay but also to go out - just 25 mins drive from Clearwater and a similar distance (or less) to some spectacular waterfalls and wonderful activities such as whitewater rafting. We brought some of their handspun alpaca wool home (the alpacas have sadly had to go to a new home) and lots of lovely memories.
