My daughter’s wedding reception at the Muthu Westcliff Hotel was fabulous! The hotel was the perfect place for the celebration—beautiful setting, great atmosphere, and the best buffet we could have wished for. The stage setup was ideal for the entertainment. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, making all our guests feel completely at ease. A huge thank you to Shelley, the incredible events manager, who accommodated every request and went above and beyond to make sure the reception ran perfectly. She truly made the day feel effortless and unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend the Muthu Westcliff Hotel more highly—it was everything we hoped for and more! 💖

Our stay at the Muthu Westcliff Hotel was absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean, making it a perfect place to relax. What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible team. Kieron, Shelley, Isabelle, and Amelia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — it genuinely felt like being at home. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail made such a difference. A special thank you as well to Chef Nicky, who prepared a special main meal for our daughter on request. It made her so happy, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff here are simply wonderful — so helpful, thoughtful, and full of heart. This is exactly why we keep coming back. We are so grateful for your warmth and hospitality!

MASSIVE thank you to INNA on reception this is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel due to my father-in-law sadly being unwell and had to stay down in southend overnight to give his mum a rest .as soon as we walked into the hotel INNA was sympathetic and really made sure we had a lovely room facing the sea .she is an asset to this company. Her people skills are outstanding and we will definitely be staying here everytime we come to Southend amd have recommend it to many friends. The hotel is very clean .homely and safe to stay.the breakfast and staff were also very friendly and food was delicious. Thank you to this hotel for making pur stay so comfortable

I booked a one-night stay and was warmly welcomed on arrival by the receptionist, who was friendly and helpful, recommending several restaurants within walking distance. The room was functional, though slightly dated in parts. That said, the shower pressure was excellent and wonderfully refreshing. My room (115) also offered spectacular views over the water — it was a real pleasure to wake up, open the curtains, and be greeted by such a beautiful vista. The lack of air conditioning meant I didn’t enjoy the best night’s sleep, although the bed itself was very comfortable. Breakfast, at £15, was average rather than memorable, but the service was exemplary and delivered with genuine warmth and attentiveness. Overall, an enjoyable stay with standout service and stunning views, though a few updates would make the experience even better.
